Special counsel Robert Mueller's team is asking witnesses to turn in their phones in order to access encrypted messaging applications, sources tell CNBC. Mueller's team has indicated it wants to examine private conversations on WhatsApp, Confide, Signal and Dust, sources say. Fearing a subpoena, the witnesses have complied with the request and have given over their phones.

Its coming to a head. The deep state is desperate to protect Brennan, Comey, Clapper, Lynch and McCabe. The IG report will lead reasonable people to demand indictments. Comey is very vulnerable and is most likely to talk. The deep state is pressing Mueller to do something, indict someone and take the pressure off by putting Trump , in their minds, on the defensive. It will be an interesting two weeks.

Nobody can rein this guy in. Congress won’t do its job. The AG has recused himself and is MIA. Trump is fighting back via Twitter, but the rabid left sees that as him actively trying to hide something. The leftists are still working to overthrow the will of the people and invalidate the election. Our poor country is in such a horrible state and continuing to slide downward. How to end this horrible long nightmare?
So the FBI can have their texts on Govt phones redacted, but Conservative witnesses have to bear everything on their personal phones.
If not for double standards, DEMs would have no standards at all.
And how many phones did Hillary destroy? That is the relevant recent precedent, and it has been blessed by the DOJ. The witnesses should at least write a letter asking Mueller if he would deem it obstruction if they did likewise, or if he accepts the Clinton rule.

What’s becoming pretty clear now is that both parties were using the FBI to run a spy operation on political opponents. Not just Trump, but Sanders as well.

Before this is over, it will take the Marines being deployed in DC.
They should make him subpoena, and then fight in court.

Which means he needs probably cause...for each and every phone. And which he cannot have.
