Myanmar and U.N. agencies signed an agreement that might eventually lead to the return of some of the 700,000 Rohingya Muslims who fled brutal persecution by the country’s security forces and are now crowded into makeshift camps in Bangladesh.
The memorandum of understanding signed on Wednesday promises to establish a “framework of cooperation” that aims to create the conditions for “voluntary, safe, dignified and sustainable” repatriation of Rohingya refugees.
Myanmar’s security forces have been accused of rape, killing, torture and the burning of Rohingya homes. The U.N. and U.S. have described the army crackdown that began in August last year as “ethnic cleansing”.
Myanmar and Bangladesh agreed in November to begin repatriating Rohingya, but refugees feared their lives would be at risk in Myanmar without international monitoring.
I hate to see Burma give in to its own degradation.

The muslins started the trouble. The Burmese finished it.
If the muslins are returned there, the trouble will continue. Betting money favors the Burmese.
The fundamental position of the Burmese Government is that the Rohingya were illegal immigrants in the first place (even if there families had been there a century or more).
So the documents required for them to be granted re-entry as citizens will seldom be in order. The Army has busied itself leveling the town centers where they used to live, and establishing Army bases there - so there will also be fewer homes to return to.
This looks like diplomatic cover for slow-rolling the situation, until the bulk of the Rohingya disperse and get on with their lives in Bangladesh.
...Just resubmit your entire application packet in triplicate with fees again next year, for final disapproval.
They aren’t safe there. Much better for the Muslims to move back to Muslim countries.

Yep. Looks like YouTube scrubbed all the videos of the Muslims attacking and killing the Buddhists. I posted a number of YouTube videos showing Muslim murder and chaos in Myanmar about two months ago, and they’re gone. Google is disgusting and rivals Hitler’s Ministry of Propaganda. Google needs to be taken down as an existential threat to humanity.
