LevinTV host Mark Levin slammed the Philadelphia Eagles Tuesday night on his radio show, calling their handling of the team’s White House visit a “complete setup.”

According to a report from Politico, the White House was informed last week that 81 players were planning to attend the event. But on Monday, the Eagles organization notified the White House that only a handful of players and team representatives would attend.

Levin went on a tirade against the Eagles for attempting to “sabotage” the president.

Is OUR Government still providing financial support to the NFL? If so, why hasn’t such funding been pulled? What about other sports leagues, etc., are they also being funded likewise as the NFL is/was?

If there were players who wanted to attend then they should have spoken up. These are grown men who are paid a lot of money to chase a ball around a field. They constantly refer to their toughness and courage in playing this game. If they truly are tough and courageous then it is time for them to stand up for what they believe. As long as they don’t, they are little better than the social justice warriors who seem to run things.

I think the biggest governmental subsidy for pro sports is by local gov’ts for stadiums. That was the source of the increase in value of the Texas Rangers under George W. Bush.

I’d give them NOTHING.

“There are other sports going on too.”

There is a whole world of other life going on, too!

Sports on TV has become a huge distraction of men from other good and fulfilling activities (like actually physically doing something). It’s like smart phones with millenials.

No, the owners are afraid of empty seats, a wipeout at the concession stands and parking lots (revenue they don’t have to share equally with the other owners) and another dive in TV ratings.

Actually, the owners are afraid of locker room violence.

I’m hoping American males start to drop their cult-like following of professional sports, their overpaid players, and crony-capitalist owners.

are you talking about the jock strap sniffers?

“Football is over. They don’t know, we don’t know it yet. But its over. the injuries, thug culture, cost, hated male violence. It is all in the mix and the wrong direction for football. Not just the NFL. I mean football, period.”

All of this is designed to disenfranchise more white males and we are once again falling for it. If the NFL goes into the crapper, next will be college football.

What next?

I’m not a football fan so this whole thing has no real meaning for me, but, when I moved to Baltimore area a few years ago, the Ravens were like a state religion. We may be the only family around that doesn’t own any Ravens clothing.

On game days, there were always a few people wearing Ravens gear at church. Last year, I saw exactly one jersey worn the entire season.

Far fewer people are wearing Ravens stuff.

I hope their sales are down considerably.

Probably, high school football will be transitioned to a form of “touch” football. This will, in turn lead to deteriorating interest at both the college and “pro” levels.

Or their dirty fans.

the White House was informed last week that 81 players were planning to attend the event.

There are not 81 players on an NFL roster. There are 54, with maybe a handful of taxi squad players and those on IR.

” This will, in turn lead to deteriorating interest at both the college and “pro” levels.”

And there is the money for the “Arts” programs.

Eh, no you wouldn’t.

I get so confused. If he was a never-Trump bastard than obviously nothing he says can be valid.

It’s time to create new ‘norms’... no more NFL players in the White House. The players represent liberal elite owners they don’t represent Americans.

To hell with them...

People who speak out as if a leader of Conservatism draw a following. They touch on important matters, and people come to depend on them for sage advice. Along comes a candidate and this person trashes them.

I can guarantee you that some of Levin’s followers did not vote for Trump based an his attacks on Trump for months on end. His attacks on Trump were vicious. Then he turned around and begrudgingly said he would vote for him. Some of his followers thought, well you may, but I won’t, not after what you pointed out to me for months on end. I can’t do that.

Sure Levin is right here, but by his antics in 2016, he helped to make that race closer than it should have been. So did Ted Cruz. So did Glenn Beck. So did many others in the GOPe. So did many of the supposed self-proclaimed “Conservative” talking heads.

It’s not a glib topic, the trashing Trump took at the hands of folks who professed to share the same values we did.

These folks wound up helping the likes of Hillary Clinton.

Don’t be shocked now when some of us would rather not watch them regain trust to sell us out the next time.

Trumps antics were every bit as noxious, if not more so. Further, based on his past record, there was no reason to believe he would govern as a conservative, and I've been completely astounded by his record since taking office.

And yet most of us saw him for the man he is today. Too bad you and Mark had your heads so firmly implanted. Pay better attention next time.
