I don’t understand why they are mad since they were only send a half dozen players..

This morning I heard it was going to be three. The reason is because a few agitators on the team refused to go because they think Trump is a meanie ... and said so publicly. The rest of the team is then put in a position of going and being seen as not being loyal to a teammate, or not going and missing out on a once in a lifetime chance. Three had the stones to say "I'm going anyway" but the rest were cowed.

I heard Lane Johnson (right tackle) saying he would do what the team wanted, he doesn't care. But it would be really cool to get a private tour of the white house ... etc. In other words, he wanted to go but was afraid to say he wanted to go. He'll probably resent the SJWs on the team for robbing him of that opportunity. But he'll never say so.
