Correct. A retired agent told me that within the Bureau the words lie and perjury are never used in official reprts and otherwise. Lacking candor is always used instead. It protects the agents from prosecution but it allows termination or suspension. In reality, it’s perjury, but not prosecuted as such.
I think I heard Dan Bongino say the same thing. My guess is, that saying that in a report may be considered prejudicial...or something like that.
