A former officer with the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency was arrested over the weekend for allegedly trying to spy on the United States for China, the Justice Department said on Monday.
The department said the suspect is accused of trying to transmit national defense information to China and with receiving hundreds of thousands of dollars while acting illegally as an agent for the Chinese government. He gave the Chinese the names of US covert spies. At least 20 spies were executed in China.
Mr. Lee, who is naturalized U.S. citizen, was found to be in possession of two notebooks containing the true names and phone of undercover CIA assets and the addresses of covert facilities, the Justice Department said. A 2012 search of hotels in Hawaii and Virginia where Mr. Lee stayed revealed that he had possessed the notebooks, court records disclosed.
Good point. I see thousands of Chinese children who are anchor babies more than ready to spy for their “homeland” which ISN’T AMERICA.
