Unfortunately not. The president can only issue pardons for federal crimes. So all these vengeful Democrats s need to do now is charge D’Souza with a state crime. Trump would be powerless in that case as only the state’s governor can issue a pardon for a state crime.

Lean a bit more right on this. By the time they pass another law extending statutes of limitations, and then pass the law eliminating double jeopardy, I won’t have any hair left on my head.
Wrong. The Constitution clearly says the President can pardon crimes IN THESE UNITED STATES, with the exception of impeachment.
