Correct sir.
I carry a CZ with a decocker. It is half-cocked. I keep my finger off the trigger.
What a moron!
“How many minutes does it take to rack a Glock? Most people could do it in between the initial draw and getting on target with no time lost.”
Takes two hands, and if one is out of commission it may not be possible if not something to push against slide.
More than a few people are dead because they have drawn and pulled the trigger on an empty chamber.
Anyone, and ironically those that consider themselves too unsafe to carry with one in the chamber, are unsafe.
After seeing the video, all I can say is what a MORON this guy is! You NEVER, NEVER, EVER pick up a pistol off of a flat surface like this!(Finger on the trigger) The name of the game is CONTROL and you have NO CONTROL over that weapon until it is properly gripped in your hand!
The way he walks away screams drunk to me. If he was sober he goes over to help his victim.
“You NEVER, NEVER, EVER pick up a pistol off of a flat surface like this!(Finger on the trigger) “
Luck for him he found out he was not proficient before he was faced down by a thug.
1911 is designed for condition one.
Exactly, right up to the point where it doesn’t feed, or you don’t pull back far enough because you’re in fight or flight mode, and it gets you killed.
Smart policy...if not chambered it is, indeed, unloaded.
Safe to carry as long as the gun is not cocked.
Y’all be careful out there.
No safety on my Sig p239, gun has round chambered, gun is holstered, no back flips or drinking and no finger in the trigger area.
Remember.
Only professionals like LEO and military should have guns so things like that won’t happen.
Oh.
Wait.
Never mind.
“Exactly, right up to the point where it doesnt feed, or you dont pull back far enough because youre in fight or flight mode, and it gets you killed.”
That cocky, drunken fool of an FBI agent felt the same way.
DEA idiot shoots himself teaching gun safety!

I saw the video this morning and the gun went off as soon as he touched it, like it was cocked.
Pretty much for sure he didn't pull enough to fire a double action.
Maybe it 'cooked off' just as he picked it up.
In any case, dumbassery abounds. Who dances & does back flips with a gun in their waist-band (not even a holster)?
Really? All by itself? Bad gun! No donut!
Yeah, but I have to wind mine once a week.
