An FBI agent got himself into an embarrassing situation on Saturday when his service weapon fell out of its holster while dancing at a Denver club and he accidentally shot a fellow patron while retrieving it.
Denver police responded to Mile High Spirits Distillery and Tasting Bar for an accidental shooting at about 12:45 a.m. on Saturday. According to police, an off-duty FBI agent was dancing at the club when his firearm fell to the ground. He picked the gun up and it went off, shooting another person in the leg.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital in "good" condition, according to police.

Looks like it “just went off” when he grabbed it, which guns will do when you grab them by the trigger. Cooper’s third rule: keep booger-hook off bang switch.
Fan Belt Inspectors....the list goes on and on.
All FBI guys I know or have known were arrogant azzholes save 1...Agent John L Sullivan ret. circa late 1960’s.....
Who said anything about jumping who???
After step 1, 2 & 3 you can point it at your head and pull the trigger but you’re right - never point your weapon in the direction of something, much less pull the trigger, that you are not prepared to destroy. Better?
Still that pull the trigger thing as step one ...
;-)
No freaking way would I want to be in the same building as someone that carries a Glock in a purse.
That’s just an invitation to get shot. Wow.
(Unless it’s in a separate pistol compartment)
The guy’s soused to gills but if he ever sees repercussions we’ll never learn of it. Even the civil suit will all be settled between lawyers out of this guy’s sight. Deep State says all’s cool.
“Still that pull the trigger thing as step one ...”
I was making a point, not giving instructions. Every one (save for those idiots that did not) would make their gun safe before pulling the trigger.
Sigh. That was my next recommendation. But not so far. He got her a sticky holster to put it in.
Not a Marine.
Relax. We’re done. My posts are usually just bump, BTTT, etc.
I don’t do flame wars. I just laughed when I read your post.
It is a life and death matter. Still, “The first step in disassembly is to decock by pulling the trigger.”
You made a mistake. Own up, go on with your life, all is well, nobody was shot.
You didn’t mention where you were pointing the weapon either. I’ll stand by my instructions over yours. Night.
“I dont do flame wars. I just laughed when I read your post.”
No flame. Just a polite exchange.
“You made a mistake. Own up, go on with your life, all is well, nobody was shot.”
I detect a flame!
“You didnt mention where you were pointing the weapon either. Ill stand by my instructions over yours. Night.”
I gave no instructions.
When my wife wanted to carry, there was no way I would give her a Glock of any kind to put in her purse. Glocks are made to be carried with the trigger assembly covered preferably by molded kydex. So instead, I bought her a S&W Bodyguard .380. She can chamber that, set the safety, and toss it in an empty purse pocket specifically set aside for her weapon.
I like Glocks, but you do need to be smart when carrying them.

I noticed a disturbing new trend of the worthless trash in the media last year:
they say so and so shot some people but “not life threatening injuries.”
That makes it feel better even though torn muscles, slashed tendons, contaminated bullet fragments causing blood infections and overall hot pain from nerves inflamed are part of it all. They put a quick label on it and go on. If it happened to one of theirs they might do some melodrama over it all.
Find the good FBI agents they all talk about.
I have fingers on one hand to count them. Can’t find any? Me, neither.
They were supposed to come out and resign and go on tv bashing Comey last year. Still waiting........
IF NOT IT MEANS THEY ARE CRAP LIKE COMEY.
Get it, everyone?
They can shoot us after breaking in at 3 am and planting evidence.
Whooppee.
“How about Not keeping a round chambered unless in imminent danger?”
If that is how he has to carry, then he is not safe to begin with.
