A U.S. court has opened the door to restrictions on religious practices that are not considered mandatory by the faith.

He has no right to the Bible...
Forget about rights. Would you personally deny it to him?
Christians don't become Christians without the Word.
He's in solitary confinement in a maximum security prison. I'm pretty sure his fall from grace has been going on for some time now.

READ THE COURT DECISION!
“Christians don’t become Christians without the Word. “
He has had three bibles in his cell for years. Are you saying he is not a Chritian yet?
Good point. Court decisions ARE infallible!
“That is why, as this Court has held, reasonable opportunities must be afforded to all prisoners to exercise the religious freedom guaranteed by the First and Fourteenth Amendment without fear of penalty. Cruz v. Beto, 405 U.S. 319, 322 n.2 (1972).
Petitioner, who is Christian, was denied such a reasonable opportunity to practice his religion. Prison officials refused Petitioners request for an English-language Christian Bible during his time in solitary confinementproviding him instead with only a Spanish-language Bible he could not read.”

Mind telling me why providing him with a Bible in the wrong language was acceptable, but one he could read was not?
“Petitioner, who is Christian, was denied such a reasonable opportunity to practice his religion. “
LOL! he was given time alone so he wouldn’t be disturbed while worshipping!

BRIEF OF AMICI CURIAE MUSLIM
ADVOCATES
This guy is a full time petitioner! He religion is himself, no God!
“So what are the mandatory aspects of Christianity, according to this court?”
Thou shall no rape students?
Are we two the only ones who noticed that?
Yep. Everything this guy is punished he files petitions. I found four on the internet that made it to the courts.
I don’t have anything to do with judging whether he, you or any other person on earth is a Christian or not.
I’ll leave that, at least in this life, to the self-anointed authorities and gatekeepers such as yourself.
This article brought to you by the courtesy of the Muslim Advocates!
“I dont have anything to do with judging whether he, you or any other person on earth is a Christian or not.”
Nice dodge.
Huckabee’s political career was killed beaches he too fell victim to the inmate scam of ‘finding religion’.

It is also found in the court decision. They were willing to provide the prisoner, while in solitary confinement, a SPANISH bible. They were not willing to provide him with an ENGLISH Bible - and the prisoner doesn’t speak Spanish.
Feel free to defend the state’s actions.
Did you also note that the first party referenced in the linked brief is the Muslim Advocates!
Your source is a filing brief sponsored by the hate group Muslim Advoctes NOT the court decision.
Washington, DC The following is a statement from Scott Simpson, public advocacy director at Muslim Advocates, regarding White House National Security Advisor John Boltons selection of Fred Fleitz for his Chief of Staff. Fleitz was a leader of the anti-Muslim hate group Center for Security policy:
The White House continues to be the nations central organizing body for white supremacists. The appointment of Fred Fleitz a leader of the anti-Muslim and conspiracy-obsessed hate group Center for Security Policy speaks volumes about the administrations prioritization of fear-mongering and racism over actual national security issues.
The fish rots from the head down: a president who specializes in conspiracy theories and appoints bigoted advisors like John Bolton, who are, in turn, staffed by hate group officials.
The administrations policies continue to discriminate against Muslims, immigrants, people of color, women, people with disabilities, and the LGBTQ community. The Fleitz appointment will only make matters worse for all.
