Andrew McCarthy: If the FBI spied on a mosque for the same reasons they spied on Trump campaign...
The Washington Times ^ | Friday, June 1, 2018 | Larry O'Connor

Posted on 06/01/2018 6:11:08 PM PDT by E. Pluribus Unum

Former Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Andrew C. McCarthy has been one of the most important voices analyzing the Spygate story from the very beginning. His byline at National Review has been essential reading and his arguments regarding how the FBI and DOJ have operated in this escapade versus what the law, the Constitution and Justice Department protocols dictate have been factual and unassailable.

He appeared on my radio program on WMAL in Washington DC Thursday to refute Trey Gowdy and James Clapper’s argument that the Trump campaign was not actually investigated and there was nothing improper about the use of surveillance against President Obama’s political opponent during the 2016 campaign.

He was able to lay out an important and compelling argument as to why, despite all of the backtracking and excuses, the Spygate scandal is a very serious constitutional issue.

McCarthy: The use of an informant to the extent that they said there’s a tight protocol and all that stuff … I must tell you I was a prosecutor for 20 years, and I had national security cases and pretty high level organized crime cases, there’s a lot about using informants that’s the wild west, it’s really not all that regulated and a lot of it has to do with common sense. So if there’s certain situations where it’s perfectly appropriate and it’s the best thing to do to use an informant and there there are other situations where it is really inappropriate to use an informant even though it’s not illegal. And just to be more concrete about it, if you remember the big arguments that we had over the Patriot Act for all these years…

There’s a reason that Obama’s pal and mentor Bill Ayers is guilty as sin but free as a bird for his role in the bombing of the Pentagon in 1972...

The excuse is that it was to protect Trump without letting him know of the supposed intrusion by Russians and mocking him when he said he thinks his team was being spied upon.

Thank you, Andy McCarthy.

Gowdy—Whenever you find yourself on the side of James Clapper and the Deep State you need to reconsider your position. And don’t be a cheerleader for the so-called “Patriot” Act.

Okay, I’m a senior and I know what the past looked like.. felt like... lived like. Today has no resemblance to those years... and it’s a sad thing to witness.

To be blunt, ever since bill clinton came on the scene from Arkansas, this is what we’ve lived under in our country.
1. Bill clinton was President of our country.. the highest office in the land... and he waa scum. He and hillary had Arkansas under their thumb and they had the U S under their thumb. They ran drugs to/from the Mena Airport.. they were the lowest scum... We were no better than any other dictator run country... we just didn’t know it, because we didn’t know what it was like to live under such corruption and criminals. The media covered for bill and hillary and the people who are democrats didn’t hesitate to vote for these 2. bill had a charm and many fell for him.. hillary was a mean nasty woman but the media didn’t let the public know and the public was too trusting and lazy to know who they were.
I got a sick feeling when he won and was going to be the President... it felt like a table turned and a new evil entered. Right now, Geraldo is talking on Fox and even now, he doesn’t know wnat he is talking about.. he gives honor to persons wnho are evil and he does not know who they are.. he’s an idiot like too many out there.
It’s pretty well known bill and hillary had deaths at their door from Arkansas to Washington DC. And they screwed many, getting all the money they could get.
bill soiled the oval office and the country gave a wink and a nod to him and to hillary...
hillary made so many really hard mistakes while she was SofS ... men died and she lied to the families.. and the media protected them through all of it.
2. obama is who he is... he is not American and he used every single way and dept to rule the people. He is evil to the core...
So he and the clintons... years of them both.. plus the Bushes, who are not who they pretended to be... and in all that, we lived in a state of the deep state running our country... not for the people, but for the deep state.
We lived in it .. under it all... for over 30 years.
Congress was in on it.. money was taken, given out for votes... it was one huge communistic government and we didn’t recognize it.. enough didn’t recognize it and NO ONE did a thing to stop it.

The media was in on it and with it... congress was in it.. the left/libeerals were in it and with it.... The frog was being cooked and we didn’t know it. We knew it was bad but we didn’t know how bad or how close we were to losing it all .. our country.

Then along came Trump and the worms came out of their hiding... we saw what had been going on and we didn’t know how bad or how deep. Today, we have a “gpvernment” that is yet today, threatening to take over and remove our President! Do you realize that is what happens in other countries.. but not here.. not the US... but it is!!

This senior is still in a state of “who is there left to save our country?”.. we have the man and they would finish him off if they could.. and I’m sure they believe they could and would. I can’t believe I said that.. but it’s true today.

If you are younger than 40, you don’t know what it was like before the deep state took over this land... you would love to have it like it was under Eisenhower... the war was awful... but we didn’t have the division and the hatred among us... we were united...

I just had to write some of this.. we had evil running our country... today the media and the left would like to go back to that... please do not take our country for granted... if there is no United States, the world has no hope.. we are the hope of the world.. and there are those who would like to take it over and sell it to the devil!

I couldn’t have said it better myself. I was sick also when the Clinton’s took power. The damage that was done is irreparable. And then Bush and then the coupdegrace Obama. I liken the society that has become the result of all this is like the walking dead. Zombie Americans with no light in their eyes. At least there is real hope with Trump. The sad part is that he won’t be president forever or I should say there won’t be another one like him.

The dems were spying on Trump before the “Russian” thing. The “Russian” thing was a two fer. One to get a title 1 FISA warrant so they could spy on the entire campaign and donors. Two was an October surprise. The dems were running their standard playbook of driving a wedge between the Republican candidate and his base. That did work this time!!! However the spying was steadily feeding Trump campaign strategy into the Hillary strategy team.

For years I’ve said it isn’t hard to run this country into success..just do what is right!...and congress couldn’t do it... they were controlled by special interest .. money and serving those who had it, to gain their power, was their goal.. and the people were forgotten. Gov went pff the track’s

We are seeing a deep state gov still able to control and do what is illegal. Constitution is bypassed and there sre no stops. The AG is helping them run this deep state outlaw gov... if Pres Trump does not stop their power grab, there is no saving us.. however, Hannity gives me hope.

3. As a “Counter-Intel” probe the DoJ could refuse to release any factual information while leaking the juicy stuff to favored Media outlets. However, now they are trying to use the term “informant”, which is a term used in criminal investigations. The appropriate term in counter-intelligence investigations is “spy” or the more polite version — “asset”.

I grew up in a small rural town in Indiana. I now live on the north side of Atlanta, GA... but even that small rural town has changed. There were grocery stores, clothing store, drug store, restaurants.. and anything you’d need. Walmart moved in 10 miles north and today that small rural town has nothing but a gas station. Houses are not kept up like they were years ago... the younger generation moved in due to lower prices on housing and rent.. and they don’t think about the upkeep. Some do, but many do not.

The cost of living (apartments, condos, houses) in metro Atlanta and further north, is 3 times the cost of that rural town today.

Things get mixed up everywhere, as people try to forget the laws, rules and constitution. They think nothing of lying.. and doing whatever needed to get what they want. Didn’t used to be that way. In rural Indiana, the bank dealt on ‘if they knew you’, they could make a deal on a handshake.. knowing your word was worth it. Not so today.

I miss that. I tell my grandchildren they have to always consider themselves different.. and don’t try to fit in with the crowd that has no morals or honesty.. just know you will be different.. accept it as a badge of honor.

Given the incompatibility of Islam and the U.S. Constitution, cameras and mikes should be a requirement for applications to site, build, or remodel a mosque within U.S. borders. Period.
