So. What. So possessing a "magic" piece of paper from a doctor indemnifies you, and not possessing it subjects you to a potential long prison term?
For either one of God's plants that grows out of the ground, or any "medicine" on Earth, that's ludicrous. It is tantamount to de facto unlimited government power. And that can never be legitimate if one believes in minimal government.
On the other hand, if one believes in Big Government and the Nanny State—when it suits one of their particular "righteous causes"—then sure, crushing decent, totally non-criminal individuals under such bureaucratic legal auspices—individuals with zero criminal or malicious intent whatsoever, and who should be presumed, in general, to know what's best for their children moreso than any government agency ever will—is just fine and dandy...
