It wasn’t Patton that said that. It was the commander surrounded by Germans when asked to surrender. Patton came to the rescue aided by the Army Air Force.
That was Gen. McAuliffe, 101st Airborne, commander at Bastogne. Patton’s Third Army led the relief and he did express admiration for McAuliffe’s one word reply to the German surrender demand.

Awwww! I had a little green guy (just one) just like those when I was a kid. Don’t know where I got him from. Used to put him to bed at night and cover him up with a kleenex (that was his blanket). :-)
