Now that BMW has the “Merlin Technology,” they can start building “MesserSpits!”
Nothing sounds like a Merlin. This past weekend one of our neighbors here had his P-51 out giving rides in observance of Memorial Day. We also had a B-17 lumbering back and forth between Livermore and Concord giving “rides!”
Love the WW2 planes! Mustang and B-17 are awesome.
My favorite is the FM-2 Wildcat. Not top of the line, but such a nice plane, perfectly adapted to the small aircraft carriers.
