The no longer quiet alliance between Never Trump conservatives and liberals does not offer an alternative to a choice between the Democratic “resistance” and Republicans.
It’s not as if it was a great secret but last week’s New York Times feature about the open ties between prominent conservative critics of President Donald Trump and liberals made it official. The last stalwarts of the “Never Trump” conservative movement are preparing to do more than merely complain about the object of their disdain; they’re now ready to join forces with liberals to oppose the president both in court and perhaps in future political campaigns.
It is logical if not reasonable for the Never Trumpers to claim that opposition to the president is more important than a conservative judiciary, lower taxes, withdrawal from the Iran deal or even shoring up the alliance with Israel that Obama did so much to damage. But what is neither logical nor reasonable is the pretense that opposing the administration does anything other than giving aid and comfort to a Democratic Party that is now largely in the hands of its Bernie Sanders/Elizabeth Warren wing.
Trump may be an unattractive and deeply flawed messenger for contemporary conservatism. But loath though they might be to admit it, what’s left of the Never Trump movement needs to come to grips with the fact that the only words that currently describe them are liberals and Democrats.

It is all about protecting their 30 year old bipartisan plan to steal the country from the citizens by flooding it with foreigners through non-enforcement of our laws and borders.
To get Joe Lunchpail, we MUST jettison the Never Trumpers and the most of the money boys. When they join, and try to influence the Dems, some of the right people will come our way (right as in the best majority governing coalition possible).
The Sh*thole Conservatives; the Washington Generals of the beltway... all bluster, make a few plays, score a few baskets, but ALWAYS loose to the insider team.
Trump’s personality and pugnacious style rubs Never Trumpers the wrong way.
That offends them more than his conservative achievements.
If Reagan had been more like Trump, they wouldn’t have forgiven him either.
Why Hillary Clinton would have revived the conservative movement in America is never explained.
Never mind the country is on the right track.
The bogus “NeverTrumpers” need to imagine where we would be if Jeb Bush or [GASP!] Hillary clinton were President instead of Donald Trump!!!!

They are losers and cowards. They are not principled they simply want to have posh jobs in a permanent minority party that never does anything of substance in opposition to the left. They can’t leave fast enough for me.
All of the sane ones, anyway. If you profess to be conservative and are still NeverTrump after seeing what he's done in office, either you're a liar or you have a screw loose.

I had the radio on a couple of days ago and Michael Hayden was on the Kilmeade show as a guest. Hayden was calling Trump a liar. I thought “That must be a never Trumper! I am going to look his name up on freerepublic.” Lo and behold...he hates Trump with a passion and is a Never Trumper as I thought. I can smell them a mile away.
One NeverTrumper that I personally know is a liar WITH a screw loose.
