Oh good grief. The left is like a rabid dog right now. They’re being exposed for the corrupt POS(s) that they are with all the intelligence community corruption, the Dept. of Justice corruption, the state dept corruption, the hollywood corruption and sex trafficking, the corrupt politicians being exposed, the corrupt media being exposed and on and on and on......They are foaming at the mouth and just like a rabid dog they are snarling, snapping and biting at anything conservative or Trump supporting that they can possibly sink their teeth in. I think GITMO will be a great safe space for them.

I disagree when the vehicle for "speech" is the government licensed airwave system.

Tell it to SCOTUS. :-)

FWIW, I'd've canned her, too.

As Rush has been stating today regarding the NFL...you don’t have free speech with your employer.

I think that an employer that utilizes a government owned asset (airwaves) to create their wealth is an exception to this rule.

If anybody can broadcast on ABC's channels, then there is no censorship of speech using a government owned communication asset.

But since that is not the case, I don't believe ABC has a right to censor anyone's opinion.

No, I will tell it to my fellow Americans, from which SCOTUS derives their power.

FWIW, I'd've canned her, too.

And I would have pulled your broadcasting license. (Since we are pretending to be in positions of power from which to do something about these sorts of things.)

The message needs to be sent that we will not tolerate communications monopolies censoring speech. The nation cannot survive such a thing.

We will become like England where dissidents are locked up without due process for having the temerity to say things the rulers don't like.

Interesting argument, though I was under the impression that the networks pay a license fee to use those airwaves, so that might put things back where its still the employers business. I think looking at the bigger picture, that is probably how it should be. Don't need more govt telling business its business.

joking that a black woman is a descendant of apes?

I don't get it. Don't liberals say we all have to believe we're descended from apes?

I'll bet there are apes all over Twitter, disclaiming paternity.

Roseanne Barr is under fire after joking that former White House adviser Valerie Jarrett is the love child of the Muslim Brotherhood and “Planet of the Apes”

muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby=vj

— Roseanne Barr (@therealroseanne) May 29, 2018

***********************

Whats racist about it. The reaction is simply what patriots of the Uniuted States want, because ridicule is EXACTPY how to combat liberal fascism and its culture. Its very effective among the masses who unwittingly support liberal fascism.Winston Churchill ridiculed Adolf Hitler, a German
ationalist socialist , just like OPbama was , except that Obama is a racial/ethnic nationalist socialist, a liberal fascist.

So its no surprise that what Roseanne did illicited a sharp response from ABC. IT WORKS. We need thousands of Roseannes, doing exactly the same thing in the media, revealing ABC as propagandists of the first water.

If one goes against ABC propaganda, by making fun of an Obama sacred cow, UR gone!

How do you think PDJT won his election in 2016? He slaughtered every sacred cow that the left sent at him.Roseanne is simply trying it on, and a good job at that.

We need many more people doing the same.

Valerie Jarrett indeed does look like a biological product of Planet of the Apes.Jarrett could answer their next casting call. Nothing racist about that.

“Hard to believe she didn’t know what the reaction would be to joking that a black woman is a descendant of apes.”

What’s funny is the left believes we all descended from apes. Black women are as deserving of insults as anyone. Why should black women be treated any different? Look how that woman insulted Sarah Sanders. No problem there, right?

Maybe she should have listened to Herm Edwards’ speech to NFL Rookies about social media having “Don’t Press Send” instead of “Send” buttons.

Interesting argument, though I was under the impression that the networks pay a license fee to use those airwaves, so that might put things back where its still the employers business.

I don't think the Government is allowed to sell indulgences when it comes to violating fundamental rights of Americans.

I think looking at the bigger picture, that is probably how it should be.

I too am looking at a bigger picture, and the picture I am seeing is absolutely terrifying. If communications companies are permitted to control what may be said through their communication systems, there will be no means available to inform Americans regarding other opinions on issues.

"Freedom of Speech" was created for the purpose of insuring that dissident voices could be heard. If the purpose of insuring that all viewpoints are heard cannot be accomplished, then "Freedom of Speech" is effectively nullified.

We already have a very worrisome prospect of Goo-lag, Fascist Book, Twit-fest, and various other influential internet organizations owned by extreme liberals censoring internet speech, and if allowed to continue, we will be faced with communicating our ideas to the few hundreds of people we can get to listen to us at the Court House steps, while our opposition will be able to spew their propaganda to millions, who will vote on the basis of what they are told.

Freedom will die under such a system because "hate speech" will be redefined to mean anything the left doesn't like.

I agree you should look at the "bigger picture", but I would prioritize my "bigger pictures" to take into account which is the greater need and priority.

When you run a business, someone who works for you should keep their mouth shut so their remarks won’t ruin your brand reputation.

A business cannot and should not take sides in a political controversy. You won’t survive if you offend half your customers.

The NFL learned that lesson with the kneelers. ABC’s swift canning of “Roseanne” in the same line. Its not a free speech issue.

If you can’t avoid embarrassing your boss, well don’t be surprised when he shows you the door.

How many viewers do you think ABC would have lost if they had left Roseanne on the air?

Do you really think this is about business or money?

The NFL learned that lesson with the kneelers.

I don't think they've learned it yet, but the distinction here is that the NFL audience found the behavior quite offensive and it has cost the NFL millions to indulge the trouble makers.

I doubt Roseanne's audience, or ABC's audiences in general would have declined at all. If anything, even more people might have tuned into to see what Roseanne did next in her show.

Pard, my family has been on these shores for almost 400 years. Trust me, the place has survived far worse than the cancellation of Roseanne. Now if Fedzilla locks her up for flapping her gums, or tweeting in this case, that’s a different matter. Ping me if she gets hauled off by the Feebs.
