Just this month, we've seen a lawyer threaten to call ICE after he overheard people in a restaurant in Manhattan speak in Spanish, and a Border Patrol agent in Montana detain two Mexican-American women for 40 minutes because he heard the bilingual women chatting en español, because the language “is very unheard of up here,” according to la migra man.

Better yet, if the zeros over at NBC really believe this, why don't they hire strictly Spanish speaking broadcasters/actors/speakers and broadcast strictly in Spanish on all their U.S. NBC channels ?

Foreign Languages spoken here 200 Years ago?

English
Spanish
French
Italian
German
Portuguese
Dutch
Irish and Scottish Gaelic
And believe it or not Russian, spoken mostly in Northern California, where the Russians controlled Yuge parts of.
All other native languages were distinctly different, with no collective language to unify under from sea to shining sea...
In more formal Spanish, it can be “besa me culo”, but it still sounds weird if you think in English-all Latin-based languages seem odd that way. My family/maiden surname is one of those old, old Basque ones that start with “Z”, the meaning of which has been lost in the antiquity of a Spanish not spoken even in Spain for 100’s of years-many of those old names sound like curses or pejoratives when given an English pronunciation rather than the Spanish one-and only an expert in archaic languages knows what it originally meant-ain’t language grand?
One of my cousins worked on the Alaska pipeline some years ago-he said he met a surprising number of people who spoke Russian as a 2nd language-especially those of mixed Russian/Native American ancestry-it must be collusion-Robert Muller, please pick up the white courtesy phone...
Something I learned years ago while stationed in W Germany. A young German girl would babysit for us and practice her ‘English’ while doing so and teaching us German at the same time. One day she came over and told us that her English teacher had told her she had to stop using us as folk to practice her English on. Seems we were teaching her how to speak ‘American’ and messing up her English syntax and diction.
It is funny that they claim a language, Spanish, think about that for a second, is the most “American” language, lol
