All eyes are on Starbucks. And not because its rolling out a new caffeinated drink.
Tomorrow Starbucks is shutting down its more than 8,000 locations across the county to conduct racial bias training for its 175,000 employees.
Some critics, mainly on social media, see it as political correctness gone too far. Others welcome the training.
It comes nearly seven weeks after two black men waiting at a Starbucks in Philadelphia were arrested when a store manager called the police.
Since their April 12 arrest, Rashon Nelson and Donte Robinson have reached a settlement with the city: A payment of $1 to each in exchange for the creation of a $200,000 fund to help young entrepreneurs in Philadelphia.
Starbucks has experienced a backlash of criticism and calls for a boycott. Earlier this month, it announced a new policy that allows anyone to use its spaces, including restrooms, cafes and patios, regardless of whether they make a purchase. Company executives said its previous policies were loose and ambiguous, leaving decisions on whether people could sit in its stores or use the restroom up to store managers.

A chance for millions of people to discover how much better the coffee is at McDonalds or Dunkin Donuts.
“Would you like a used needle with your Latte? Do you need any infectious body fluids today?
You are liable to accidentally sit on one and get jabbed in the ass. Or maybe through the sole of a flip flop.
And they are going to have to upgrade their software that prints people's names on their unfilled cups so that that the barristas can't use “race sensitive” names like BEANER!
As far as Im concerned, Starbucks is always closed.
One of the best things I have done this year is to drop caffeine completely. It took about ten days to get rid of the caffeine withdrawal headaches. But I persisted through that pain. I dont have headaches anymore. I used to have headaches frequently. I did not realize it was due to caffeine intake.
Hope Starbucks croaks. Sick of their moral superiority.
I have no intention of every patronizing one of their stores again, but if I should I am going to make a point of ordering “Coffee, BLACK” and watching them squirm.
“What if Starbucks closes.... and no one notices?!”
The best outcome would be if the liberal democrat who runs it would finally see the light what with Seattle adding a new employee tax and the left destroying his stores. Close it down...F them all.
It would be fine if they just closed all of their overpriced coffee stores, period, and permanently.
Are they going to do anything about the cultural appropriation? I mean shouldnt the sizes be small, medium, and large?
Training:
You White, you guilty.
You non-White, you not guilty.
Black customer can do anything at all that he want to. If you White, you bows down in submission and says “yes massa!”
If you White, we will not back you up. You fired. Even if you follow our policy. You White. We don’t give one $hit about you White a$$.
Remember when Starbucks was more of a luxury, upscale brand years ago, and was marketed that way? That image sure has gone by the wayside.
Better yet, print off “Coupons” to leave in the store with something like the following:
“Redeem this coupon for $20 in Free Starbucks Food for all Homeless People. Must provide proof of non-residence to qualify”
If/When Whites become the Minority, the Brown/Black Majority will treat Whites with ZERO respect.
Think it was bad Decades ago against Blacks? It’ll be worse, X10.
Praying I’m wrong.
Those two guys found a weakness and exploited it.

They found a way to sell a commodity to people by creating the concept of giving them a “sophisticated” experience with the use of European store designs, Italian sounding products, and selling at high prices which attracted a certain clientele. They recognized a desire and capitalized on it. People fell for it, just like they fall for ridiculous prices for a bottle of wine.
Starbucks is in a freefall. The same management conducting this bias training will be raking the employees over the coals for slumping sales and store conditions.
The cognitive dissonance is at the C-ring, not behind the counter.
Well
pass the popcorn 🍿
Kaboom! Great comment. You get it.
Coffee itself is cultural appropriation. It was contributed by the Arabs.
Apparently Howard Shultz's concern over bias and discrimination stops when it comes to buying beans for his business.
