The 102nd running of the Indianapolis 500- the greatest race in the world!!! Hometown and VP Pence family favorite Ed Carpenter sits on pole, the only driver to turn a lap in excess of 230MPH during qualifying. Marco Andretti has been strong the entire month of May but slipped in qualifying. Final race in the career of Danica Patrick, which will be covered annoyingly today. Gentlemen- Start Your Engines!!

Two Kids’ Mom is buddies with one of Will’s relatives. We have an autographed picture around the house here somewhere.
Congrats to him and the team on the win!

the cars (recently re-engineered and apparently fly out of control for no reason all day today, with every single-car crash victim saying "I have no idea what went wrong") Nothing more rear wing wouldn't fix.

What is with Ed Carpenters comment: “He hated ovals and now he loves them,” Carpenter said. “He and I love racing together. Maybe someday he’ll race for me. I don’t know if we have a tampering rule in IndyCar, but congrats Will.” What tampering???

F1 is boring now.
Today at Monaco...60 of 78 laps in and the top 5 positions have not changed since the first turn.
Not very entertaining.
Most races are like this.
But what do I know...only been a road race fan for 50 years.

Used to listen (pre-TV) to it every year with my older brother. The drivers were real people you could relate to, the cars were all different, and the engines were all different. Today, you can’t tell the differences. ‘cept for the paint.

She uses number 13 and crashes in her last Indy and 7 was hardly lucky for her either in NASCAR.
