US officials arrive in North Korea for talks on still-possible Trump-Kim summit
Despite what appeared to have been its cancellation last week, a delegation of US officials have arrived in North Korea to prepare for a possible summit between Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un, the Washington Post reports.
Leading the talks from the American side is Sung Kim, the current US ambassador to the Philippines, who was recalled from his post to assist in preparations for the summit, the post reports.
Kim is said to have met with North Koreas vice foreign minister, Choe Son Hui.
The talks are expected to continue through Tuesday.

The ball will be in the President's court, in his final decision, to accept a crappy deal that is crafted by these Sherpas, or with his better instincts which he promised us on the campaign trail and which he has been true to in hiring no-nonsense professionals such as John Bolton who have been through this drill too many times to be fooled by the Norkies--and THEY know it! ;-)
Yea I caught that too....in fact did a bit of research on the guy. However there are pluses to having the same guy on deck as he already knows how they play....plus familiar with Japan and China......still it’s a small risk I would hope.
What can I say....the most thus far we can hope for is at least Kims not shooting off rockets for the moment.....and we’ve even been down that road!
Personally there are times it’s easy to think we should just get done what few want to do about Kim and the North rather than watch these same gymnastics.
