US President Donald Trump seemed to revive hopes for a summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un next month, telling reporters at the Oval Office late Saturday, "we're looking at June 12th in Singapore. That hasn't changed."

His remarks came as South Korean President Moon Jae-in delivered his first public comments since a surprise meeting with the North Korean leader on Saturday, saying Kim was still committed to denuclearization.

But in terms of accomplishments, Trump has him hands down.

Good lord, get a grip. Trump has the opportunity/possibility to be one of the greatest Presidents, but he is far from that today. Reagan ended the cold war, rebuilt our military after the disastrous post Vietnam reductions under Nixon, Ford and Carter, cut taxes and reformed the tax system, cut non-defense spending, restored the economy from a deep recession with out of control inflation, and much more. Trump has matched his accomplishments on taxes, but has increased domestic spending, hasn't had time to rebuild the military, has made small gains in the economy and is working on North Korea (NK and Iran together represent a fraction of the threat compared to the Soviet Union). His agenda is fantastic, but he has not had the time to implement it. I know it feels amazing to have Trump after 8 years of Obama, but give him two terms and we can compare him to Reagan.

Trump is running rings around every politician, journalist, liberals, foreign leaders, dictators and all.

The leftist have been losing ground and failing daily since 6/16/2015, the day Trump announced his run. All their so-called political experts, politicians, et all, were wrong from day one. And every single day since. What a track record!

I would like to see Trump pull it off also, but it would be great if he did it in late September or sometime in October right before the midterms.

Pay attention. He's already surpassed Reagan. This country going into 2015 has never been this divided in modern American history. Way worse than during Vietnam. In addition, Trump has had most of his own federal government including their hired guns in deep state trying to criminally undermine, compromise, frame and overthrow Trump. This includes the big agencies, CIA, FBI, DOJ, etc. Reagan NEVER faced nothing like this. In fact, it's never happened in U.S. history.

Independent Trump walked into a power-keg and upset the open border globalist with the wall construction and much needed enforcement, after the presidents in the past, including Reagan pandered to Mexico to the point were tens of millions have entered in the past 25 years, literally endangering our very electoral process, right here at home.

And even though Reagan took a bullet from some nutcake, Trump and his family have endured *thousands* of death threats, many of which are take really seriously. In fact, with Trump leftist see it as a badge of honor to threaten the President of the United States. So bad he's had to fly into our good neighbor Mexico in an unmarked leased aircraft so he wouldn't be shot down.

Point is when your getting this type of flack 24/7 for years, you're definitely over the target.

I could easily go on.

I understand this, and I’m mad as hell that the country is being dragged through this, but Presidents are judged by what they accomplish, not how mean people were to them. If he accomplishes great things despite all of this, that will certainly add to his status. Trump has the potential to be one of the great Presidents, but he will need accomplishments to cement that legacy. Hopefully overcoming the deep state will be one of many accomplishments. We’re not there yet.

For Gods sakes, as Trump is kicking azz and making history, he’s got people stabbing him in the back and criminally attempting to undermine and compromise him every inch of the way, and this from the highest offices in the land...Do ya have any idea what Trump could have done so far if not for his own government criminally attacking him on a regular basis?

Lets get real.

I think China had something to do with the NK ploy - trump sent them both a message and they both blinked...

Their first try yielded some dividend: Trump called off B-52 joining the exercise in SK, and "clarified the U.S. position," saying that it is Trump Solution, not Libyan Solution. Apparently emboldened, they decided to try again, using more abrasive language. It spectacularly backfired. Actually I was surprised that NK would be groveling to Trump in public. Usually if they have something to grovel, which is rare anyway, they do it behind the scene after things cool off. This time it was so quick and public in a very humiliating way. I have never seen them doing this.

Was it because Trump threatened nuclear attack or Chicom called them to rebuke them for pushing it too far? Probably, we won't find it out anytime soon.

But you are correct, the Nobel Committee today is in Norway

If the sad-sack of collective squishes I refer to as the GOP Congress would have been completely on-board with Trump, the Democrats would have ceased to exist by now.

Yes. That’s what sad. We’re winning - but think how much MORE we’d be winning with those worthless cockroaches on-board.

You must be asleep! Trump has accomplished more that all of our past presidents lumped together. And all of it despite being blocked by the a$$holes in his own party. I wouldn’tt pi$$ on the average Republican “officeholder” if he or she were on fire today.

But..but...but...the NY Times said that the June 12th date was impossible. It’s almost as if they cannot be trusted anymore.
