Twenty-one Republican members of the House of Representatives have signed a discharge petition in the hopes that, combined with Democrat members, they can get enough signatures to force a vote on legalizing recipients of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program without having to embrace Republican demands for tougher immigration laws as a tradeoff.
These GOP congressmen are sabotaging President Donald Trump’s efforts and those of conservative House members to hold up legalizing DACA immigrants (those who came here as children) until Democrats agree to strengthen immigration laws. The conservative rationale is highly sensible.
When we grant, in effect, amnesty to DACA immigrants, our borders will be besieged by child immigrants seeking amnesty for themselves.

indeed. too bad hillary didn’t win, hey? and too bad Trump carried both houses on his coattails, with all of that tax reform that got passed and revved up the economy. and too bad Neil Gorsuch got appointed instead of some kommie who’d tilt the Supreme Court enough that they’d pretty much abolish the U.S. Constitution, and too bad 21 other conservative Federal judges got appointed as well. Too bad we’re not still in the Paris climate “agreement”, owning shithole countries billions of dollars for no reason, and too bad we’re not still in TPP, and too bad we’re still not bound by obama’s Iran agreement giving them carte blanc to build nuclear bombs. and too bad the Dems don’t have the House so that they could impeach Trump for all of those things.

A Super PAC which works hand-in-glove with House Speaker Paul Ryan is backing 11 of the 19 GOP legislators who have signed the discharge petition for a divisive, risky and unpopular amnesty bill before the midterms.
Most of the 21 are in difficult races-purple/blue states. No need to call them traitors yet.
