Tonight as my birthday was headed toward its end, I did something I've done once a year for a few decades. I found an American in uniform and offered him/her a monetary thank-you for keeping me and my family safe. It's my annual birthday present to myself. I've always kept this gesture to myself, but tonight's experience was unusual so I thought I'd share it. I walked into a 7-11 near Ft. Belvoir, figuring I'd find someone in uniform. I brought a $100 bill. The goal was to encourage one servicemember to have a nice dinner on me.

I depended on Martosko to deliver the news from the Trump campaign trail all the way up to the last rally in the wee hours in Grand Rapids, MI on election day 2016 - no coverage could compete with his.
Cough syrup, vaporizer, thermometer, ibuprofen, tylenol, kleenex, pepto bismal,kopectate,ANOTHER vaporizer cos teenager put too much salt (to soften the water) in it, personal vaporizer cos the cough got really bad, snacks in the ermergency room, pedialite, nasl sprays, babysitters, food for babysitters, vick vapor rub.....
None of the above are covered by insurance. I know this list almost by heart because these are the things I check off with the mommys when the grands are sick and I headed to town. It adds up!
