Tonight as my birthday was headed toward its end, I did something I've done once a year for a few decades. I found an American in uniform and offered him/her a monetary thank-you for keeping me and my family safe. It's my annual birthday present to myself. Cough syrup, vaporizer, thermometer, ibuprofen, tylenol, kleenex, pepto bismal, kopectate,ANOTHER vaporizer cos teenager put too much salt (to soften the water) in it, personal vaporizer cos the cough got really bad, snacks in the ermergency room, pedialite, nasl sprays, babysitters, food for babysitters, vick vapor rub.....

None of the above are covered by insurance. I know this list almost by heart because these are the things I check off with the mommys when the grands are sick and I headed to town. It adds up!
