When I initially decided to take a Womens and Gender Studies class, I knew that the course readings would be liberal-leaning and overtly feminist. I did not know how open the professors and administrators would be about this 'leftward bias', however.
Right from the very beginning, Womens and Gender Studies was presented not just as an academic discipline, but as preparation for activism.
Our assigned readings for a class discussion on abortion were both written by pro-choice authors, and the professor made no attempt in class to provide an alternative perspective.
When I attended a portion of the programs 30th anniversary conference, every professor on the panel seemed to hold the same political and ideological beliefs. When one professor spoke about her initial difficulties in convincing her students that anti-capitalism was a tenet of feminism, her co-panelists and the professors in attendance nodded sympathetically. Not only did they accept that their job was to persuade students to change their beliefs about economic and political systems, but they appeared to be in full agreement about what exactly those beliefs should be.

she further wrote...In this year alone, the program hosted an event on queerness and disability, a teach-in on the violence of language, a screening of a pro-Equal Rights Amendment documentary, a poetry performance from a queer/trans activist, and an open mic night on breaking binaries.
Duh.
The Left has maintained for some years now that their violence is speech and our speech is violence.
Georgetown University is ostensibly a Jesuit Catholic institution Its very existence and continuing endowment was made possible by the support and generous donations of devout Catholics. They were proud to help establish an educational institution that educated their youth and propagated the faith. The positions championed by “feminist” professors are of course in direct contradiction to Church teaching especially regarding abortion and exploitive sexuality. The salaries and very establishment of heretic departments within this “Catholic” institution is made possible in part by the donations of Catholics. They have yet to understand that the modern Jesuit order has descended into an unspeakable cabal and should never be trusted.
It’s hard to run a anti-capitalism unit in a university when you (the professor) are wearing a pair of $500 designer glasses, $250 Italian loafers, a $700 tweed jacket, and a $900 Mount Blanc watch.
You see this being attempted in so many college situations, and the kids ought to stop the class and insist that the instructor make his own shoes, wear clothing that they make themselves, and live under a bridge.
You know what they hate the most? When you completely ignore them and don’t even talk to them.
A friends son attending an Ivy League school enrolled in a gender studies course because a girl that he had a crush on was also in attendance. He made it through the second day before dropping the class and giving up on the girl. He told his father it was insanely radical beyond anyones wildest dreams and all of the attendees were man haters!

Is it any wonder the left are as they are!
Haha. Good point. :D
See post 13 of the author.....also interesting.
Thank you for your post. I have actually written the college tonight regarding their ‘studies’ so we shall see if and or how they respond.
Well I’m not in the habit of ignoring people rather engaging when there are differences of thought...but I have to say it’s rough talking with students as they can not reason, only repeat the junk we hear so often by libs/left.
Thank you.
I tend to think they attend because the classes are often presented as other than what you’ll be hearing..or if clearly listed kids are curious about anything ‘weird’.
