North Korea said on Friday it was still open to talks with the US despite Donald Trump's threat of military action after cancelling their June 12 summit in Singapore.
Pyongyang described the US president's decision to pull the plug on the much anticipated meeting as "extremely regrettable".
"The abrupt announcement of the cancellation of the meeting is unexpected for us and we cannot but find it extremely regrettable," Kim Kye Gwan, North Korea's First Vice Foreign Minister, said in a statement carried by the state-run KCNA news agency.
"We again state to the US our willingness to sit face-to-face at any time in any form to resolve the problem," Kim added.
The US president said on Thursday the American military was ready if necessary to react with its allies should North Korea take any foolish or reckless acts.

Of course Kims leaders are going to stall...that is after all their mo. Still I think Trump has been clear enough.... don’t bother coming to the table expecting consessions unless you’re ready to fully disarm and destroy the nuclear ambitions and projects. There is no squrim room this time around. He wants results! So far he’s got them for us....
Now remains to be seen where this goes...I believe they will meet on the 12th of June. ..and if not then we have their answer.
If they don’t, it is a theat to this country and I dont mean in the future. I mean right now.
I think most recognize that.
As I see it the BIG deal is they're tying to ‘avoid’ the ‘visual’ meeting of Trump and Kim, which was evidenced when they failed to show up for the meeting last week which is ‘exactly’ what that was about....the meeting in Singapore and arrangements of...
....yet at the ‘same time’ phone communications were going on regarding ‘the terms’ about denuclearizing the they just do not want to do unless on their terms.
N.Korea has decades in history of toggling from aggression to engagement/vice versa, ‘routinely’ playing emotional blackmail ‘by walking away’ from talks at the last minute in a bid to win concessions. That's what they're STILL playing....(With China's approval)........well Trump answered both the no show, and the denucleurization issues Kim refuses, and the next meeting yesterday...........he said no..and not on your terms nor with your games.
I'm sure he knows their PR stunt of blowing up their nuke testing site is for the International and MSM punks. He knows it's useless after that mountain fell in. I suggest to Kim Jung Un-cool to join civilization or die. China will stand by and watch. They would never attack their "Golden Goose" trade partner, the USA.
I don't think Kim realized how fast he would be cornered by Trump. Its pretty incredible to watch this play out.
According to the Norks latest public comms regarding Trump's walkaway, they have realized they ARE cornered and again wanting to talk. Yes, it's amazingly gratifying to watch a real MAN play "Rocketman".
Weird haircut boy has two options:
1. Concede to US demands regarding his nukes and experience the benefits of the World's investors.
2. Experience the massive power of the United States.
My main concern which POTUS hasn't addressed is Seoul's vulnerability. But then, we don't know what the Chiefs Of Staff/Pentagon have for that contingency. I would suppose the priority would be to take our as much of the Norks DMZ artillery batteries as possible. Then it's open season.
Also, I don't believe Pres. Trump would be much concerned about collateral damage. He reminds me of the Generals/Admirals of WWII while fire-bombing Dresden, Berlin, and others. If Rocketboy were to launch his pathetic nukes, I'm positive Trump would turn North Korea into a worse wasteland than it already it.
President Trump has the bad players fearful of the might of America again. I'd rather we be feared than respected, as bowingbama tried.
Always remember why no nation frucks with us: Tridents!! Land-based ICBM's (if any left) and Bombers do nothing for me. Tridents let me sleep at night.
Trump might have handled the crises better than Ford, but the point is, today the media does not want the nation to unite.
Great post buddy!
You dont say.
