I work in Decatur...just next to Atlanta. One of the department heads here is an active member of the Sons of the Confederacy. His group does a lot of Civil War memorial and grave site restoration.

He told me they’ve shown a lot of restraint with all the statue removal going on, but he told me that THE $hit WILL hit THE fan if Stone Mountain is messed with. He had a rather determined look in his eye saying that.

I’m a Yankee to him (native Buckeye), and we trade barbs frequently. I really got him going when I told him that both Generals Sherman and Sheridan were born within a 30 mile radius of my home town.

I agree, and I think he would be a man I could get along with.

BTW, I do EMI/EMC engineering, as well. I'm in Alabama, but spend quite a bit of time in Hotlanta.
