You may not be interested in identity politics, but identity politics is sure interested in you.
There’s a run-off next month between the two Republican candidates...Casey Cagle and Brian Kemp. Both to me are solid. I lean toward Kemp as his ads are hilarious...comes across as a hard-nose Trumpster. Kemp is SoS and was the one reporting DHS hacks (10 total)into Georgia’s voting records.
Either one will destroy Abrams with aplomb. No worries.
The New York Times is doing what they do best, creating Liberal fantasies and pass it off to the American public as newsworthy political insights. The striking reality of all of this is that the New York Times really believe this nonsense.
I love how the media keeps hyping black leftists seeking office. Remember how they pumped up that guy who ran against Jesse Helms?
I work in Decatur...just next to Atlanta. One of the department heads here is an active member of the Sons of the Confederacy. His group does a lot of Civil War memorial and grave site restoration.
He told me they’ve shown a lot of restraint with all the statue removal going on, but he told me that THE $hit WILL hit THE fan if Stone Mountain is messed with. He had a rather determined look in his eye saying that.
I’m a Yankee to him (native Buckeye), and we trade barbs frequently. I really got him going when I told him that both Generals Sherman and Sheridan were born within a 30 mile radius of my home town.
Wishful thinking from the paper of record. This woman doesn’t stand a chance of winning.
Dem. governors are in LA, VA, and NC. Lupe Valdez is convinced she will add TX to that list too.
The “unthinking” really believe that the national Democratic Party represents the interests of “the common man,” as Andrew Jackson called the average people.
One of her campaign ideas was to totally DESTROY the carved faces on ‘Stone Mountain” in Georgia.
She has about as much chance as my Chihuahua to win the Governor’s race. GA is a pink state totally run by RINOs.
The likely next GA governor is Casey Cagle a clone of our current RINO governor Nathan “raw” Deal.
I agree, and I think he would be a man I could get along with.
BTW, I do EMI/EMC engineering, as well. I'm in Alabama, but spend quite a bit of time in Hotlanta.
Translation, she wants a shooting war in Georgia.
Loopy Valdez is going down faster than Stormy Daniels on a fake UPS delivery driver!!
She’s not winning.
We Georgians will once again put a Republican Governor over the top.
Oy yeah...great guy. He’s one of us. He’s got a great joke about the Yankees attacking Stone Mountain.
I’m going to guess and say you probably work in and around Huntsville.
Someone up-thread called Atlanta “Fatlanta”. I will be using that term from now on. (Geezo-petes is that spot on!)
I saw last night Abrams got something like 650,000 votes. Seems like that is quite a paltry number. Not much of a vote tally analyst here, though.
I have never been there, but hear some parts of Atlanta have major problems. This was one factor in the Atlanta Braves moving to a suburban location, as their stadium was located in a questionable area.
Yeah, no. Jimmy Carter ran an infamous race-baiting campaign in 1970 accusing his Dem primary opponent, ex-Gov. Carl Sanders, of the "audacious act" of shaking hands with Black basketball players. This attempt to paint Carter as some sort of race moderate when he ran as an unabashed racist is leftist revisionist history at its worst.
