President Trump’s attorney Rudy Giuliani said Wednesday that he believes that Trump should interview with special counsel Robert Mueller, in a reversal of his previous statements on the topic.
“I guess I’d rather do the interview. It gets it over with it, it makes my client happy,” Giuliani told The Washington Post. “The safe course you hear every lawyer say is don’t do the interview, and that’s easy to say in the abstract. That’s much harder when you have a client who is the president of the United States and wants to be interviewed.”
Giuliani has cast doubt on Trump interviewing with Mueller in the past. He told the Wall Street Journal in an interview published Tuesday that if he were to make a decision on the interview in that moment, he would decide against it.
The former New York City mayor told The Post in the new interview that Trump has vacillated over whether or not he wants to interview with Mueller in the probe.
“There have been a few days where he says, ‘maybe you guys are right,’” Giuliani said, referring to members of Trump’s legal team who have warned him against talking with Mueller.
“Then he goes right back to, ‘why shouldn’t I?’” he added.
He also said that he was concerned that a Trump interview with Mueller could be set up to catch the president on a possible perjury charge because “truth is relative.”
“They may have a different version of the truth than we do,” Giuliani said.

I wish I could believe that, but I've seen nothing over the last year to convince me that that's the case.
I've seen nothing but cluelessness and ineptitude on the part of the President's legal team, and unrelenting treachery on the part of the leftist deep state coup plotters.
Meanwhile, the spineless jellyfish who call themselves Republicans, have almost universally sat mute as the plotters go after our president with tooth and claw, brazenly trying to overturn a legal election.
Don't even get me started on the turncoat, Jeff Sessions, who should have resigned over a year ago.

Rudy is about as stable as a ping pong ball in a drier. A sings more songs than a mocking bird.
I think that's correct especially when the opposing force is formidable and you can end the civil war and all go home. The other thing Mueller is going to need is some thin gruel for his report. There will be some admissions at some point that holding meetings with Russians was not wise even if legal and nothing came of them. Those will go in the report so the libs and MSM can yell about how Trump "tried to commit treason" or some such nonsense. 90% of America will shrug and ignore them.

Sorry Scott, it’s too easy to concoct a process “crime” after testimony. My advice: Attack, attack, attack Mueller, and when Mueller is flat on his back, stomp on his face. Mueller is a leftist thug with ZERO integrity. You will NEVER hear him say that Trump is exonerated. Trump must force him into surrender.
The whole Mueller investigation is a ruse to occupy the media circus while the real investigations go on under the radar. Mueller's work isn't worth diddly squat. When will it end? When indictments start coming down against the real crooks. The FBI and DOJ had to be cleansed first. That's done.
