Stacey Abrams wins Georgia 'Battle of the Staceys' in bid to become first black female gov(T)

Stacey Abrams easily defeated Stacey Evans in the Georgia Democratic gubernatorial primary Tuesday that attracted national attention.

Now, Abrams will attempt to make history by becoming the nation's first black female governor — and Georgia's first woman governor — by winning the general election in November in a state that Republicans still dominate.

"We are writing the next chapter of Georgia history, where no one is unseen, no one is unheard and no one is uninspired," Abrams told supporters in Atlanta Tuesday night at her victory party. "Now let's go get it done."

Evans quickly backed Abrams, declaring that Democrats must "find a unified voice to rally against Trump."

Abrams won a smashing victory with 76.5 percent, or 423,163 votes, to Evans 23.5 percent, or 130,234 votes, with 100 percent of precincts reporting.

Yup. This is the hate filled person that wants to remove the carvings on Stone Mountain. Atlanta could be the battle ground where this ends up. Like most major pop centers they probably have enough votes to negate the rural voters yet again.

If she wins, and attempts to erase the history on Stone Mountain, I think Georgians ought to mount an armed militia to stop it. In Georgia she will have to over come at least two to three hundred thousand votes. That is about a 5% difference in the democrats and republicans according to the last presidential election. Trump won by 5%. Romney won by about 7% and he was running against Obama. She won’t win in my view Georgia has not turned yet.
