Nature is taking over The Big Island.
I suspect it is lost to humans.
I also fear there will be a massive eruption very soon. I do not wish this (I was there about 2 years ago and found it to be delightful even outside the helicopter ride over the lava floes). But I predict this.
The entire Island is not at risk, that just isn’t possible. The island as you know is massive and Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea are so big that any blast would be shielded by those behemoths. Loa is 500x the size of Mt Rainier outside of Seattle.
When the big one hits, we will know that Madame Pele is REALLY p***ed!
Whoever ate ohelo berries without offering her some first, this is all your fault!
Only fair, since Nature created The Big Island in the first place.
