Society has taken competition off the table. Learning to lose gracefully and using the disappointment to get better and win the next time you meet your opponent is a lost lesson. Sportsmanship is not taught to most kids anymore. To much video games and not enough team sports from childhood. Leads to what has become an “it’s all about me” younger group. IMHO.

I agree with most of what you said. Parts of it are technically true, but there’s another aspect of the tech experience you’re forgetting thought.

For instance, these kids are also using FaceBooking, Instagraming, Snapchatting, Tweeting and other tech tools.

So in a way they are isolated, but then they also network in very negative manners. I’m sure there are some decent innocent ways to use these tools, but these kids have a group broadcast set up.

If someone offends one of them, the word is out instantly. Then people from that group message their groups. You could have literally hundreds of kids aware of an issue before they get back to school. Heck, in some instances the whole school.
