A new city has emerged as a possible site for NBA expansion.
One league executive told SEC Network's Jarrett Sutton that Kansas City will inevitably be awarded a franchise, as it's viewed as the NBA's most valuable market for league expansion, alongside Seattle.
The Kings called Kansas City home from 1972 to 1985 before moving on to Sacramento. The state of Kansas is well-represented on the college circuit, boasting the powerhouse University of Kansas, but the addition of an NBA franchise would come as a surprise with other notable options being discussed far more.
The city has an arena which opened in 2007 that can hold approximately 19,000 people. It's currently going unused.

Who won all of two championships in the 1980s. The Lakers, on the other hand, won five. The Celtics havent been The NY Yankees of the NBA since Bill Russell retired. While his career produced the greatest period of dominance in pro sports history, no NBA team has had the long term success as the Lakers, who won championships in six different decades.
KC might be getting a NHL franchise...heard they are going to expand to 6 more teams...KC, Seattle, Hartford, Quebec and Portland, Oregon.
Vancouver had an NBA team. Only lasted 6 years (1995-2001) before they moved to Memphis.

Nope, St. Louis won’t get a team. There is a deal that was made with the people that owned a team there years ago. They get paid as long as there is no NBA team.
I don’t really care to look up all the facts, so just going by what I recall.
