A Cambridge professor with deep ties to American and British intelligence has been outed as an agent who snooped on the Trump presidential campaign for the FBI.
Multiple media outlets have named Stefan Halper, 73, as the secret informant who met with Trump campaign advisers Carter Page and George Papadopoulos starting in the summer of 2016. The American-born academic previously served in the Nixon, Ford and Reagan administrations.
The revelation, stemming from recent reports in which FBI sources admitted sending an agent to snoop on the Trump camp, heightens suspicions that the FBI was seeking to entrap Trump campaign aides. Papodopoulous has pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI, while Page was the subject of a federal surveillance warrant.
“If the FBI or DOJ was infiltrating a campaign for the benefit of another campaign, that is a really big deal,” President Trump tweeted Saturday, calling for the FBI to release additional documents to Congress.
The Halper revelation also shows the Obama administration’s FBI began prying into the opposing party’s presidential nominee earlier than it previously admitted.
Halper’s sit-downs with Page reportedly started in early July 2016, undermining fired FBI Director James Comey’s previous claim that the bureau’s investigation into the Trump campaign began at the end of that month.

All the talk of an FBI informant is non sense, if we are talking about Halper. His is CIA, and this was a multi agency set up. The effort now is to blame it soley on the FBI.
My guess is that he was Page and Popadopolous.
Profsessor Mifsud is the one who has disappeared, not Halper. Mifsud is the one who told Papadopolous that the Russians had Hillary’s emails. I bet he was on the CIA’s payroll.
If one of them is the spy/informant it will be Page not Papa. Carter Page. But still developing....
And that ain't always so easy to do. Their first two shots to the back of their own heads are hard enough to pull off, but when they try to shoot that third shot there, their head is no longer there, so, at that point, they're just shooting at the air...

And notice that our new CIA Director isn’t going to talk about it either. Just hope she’s not another Wray. What a worthless a$$hole he’s turned out to be! In the general area of the Justice Dept, and allied agencies, Trump has picked people who go right to work to f*ck him! Where’s the effing Pompeo look alike for Justice, FBI and maybe CIA? If he had thrown darts to pick his people in this area he would have likely had better luck!
Are they outing Halper and calling him the spy in the campaign to protect the real spy in the campaign?

someone - a real journalist or a lawyer or the Trump Admin - needs to request full transcript and audio of the Halper interview on BBC on 18 May 2017. (Gateway Pundit said 17 May and Canada Free Press said 19 May, but it is 18 May.)
BBC must provide this one way or another (don’t know how FOI works in Britain). it doesn’t matter whether or not Halper is the spy being outed. it would appear from the timeline indicated below that this might have been a lengthy interview, not the short excerpt found on Twitter.
