The 17-year-old suspect in Friday's shooting at a Texas high school killed a classmate who turned down his repeated advances, killing her first in his deadly rampage that also killed nine others, according to the girl's mother.
Student Shana Fisher's mother told the LA Times that junior Dimitrios Pagourtzis gave her daughter "4 months of problems" before Fisher rejected him publicly in front of classmates.
"A week later he opens fire on everyone he didn't like," she wrote to the newspaper. "Shana being the first one."

I attended a routine council meeting in our area and someone asked, Does the high school have metal detectors and the answer was No. The response of someone connected with the school board said basically that it would paralyze the daily operations of the school to have crowds of students backed up in lines going through a check point, the detectors don’t catch everything (some guns are now plastic), and the threat of a live shooting is still rare compared to the number of schools in operation.

My husband and I both believe that it's a bad thing for women and men alike, if they get this idea that "everybody's doin' it" and therefore if they themselves are not, it must be because they're sexually retarded or they're being rejected & disrespected.
We live in such a sexually distorted society.
But it was said by a man. The vengeful woman of male-created literature is about as common as the romantic man of female-created literature.
If you look at the murder rates, you'll find that women rejecting or abandoning a man are far more likely to be killed by that man than a man leaving a woman is. She may steal his bank account, she may key his car, she may talk about him on social media, she may burn his clothes... but the murderers are generally men. The prisons are full of mostly men, and there's a reason for it.
One reason for it is that the winner always ends up in handcuffs and the loser ends up with a restyraining order. And, 99% of the time, when a woman starts it, she is the one who ends up on the floor.
According to Divorce Support, the most recent statistics for homicides in which the victim-killer relationship was known, 31 percent of female victims were killed by an intimate partner. Only 4 percent of male victims were killed by an intimate partner. They reference Bureau of Justice statistics.
Don’t kid yourself, the war on boys, or more accurately, the war on the Western judeo-Christian ideal of manly behavior, is just as real as the war on that same ideal for girls.
What they’ve been missing is respect for civilized male, and female, behavior in their culture.
“Public humiliation” is one of those trigger events common to these kinds of shootings.
I am not blaming the girl. Anyone should be able to say, “Not interested” and not be in fear of their lives.
But if there is a stalker-like behavior there should be someone these kids could turn to in order to give the authorities a heads up. They used to tell their Dads. And one dad would talk to the other dad. But that doesn’t happen any more.
I hear you. Instead of blaming someone else, use the experience to make yourself stronger. It’s excellent advice.

I dont have to quit anything. When a group of overly-sensitive girls cant derive intention and meaning from a post, and instead go off into some meltdown because apparently it hit a little to close to the truth for them, then that is their problem, not mine.

This guy was a wound-up time bomb, who could have been diffused long ago if people would open their eyes and stop thinking that just calling him a loser and heaping more scorn onto them is “helping”. Males are being bottled-up from the things that made the cheap pursuit of female validation less of a make-or-break part of their identity.
Males are being detached from stuff that used to give them a sense of self independent of these goofy high school cliques. Virtually anything males have been into is now under constant attack. Even the outlets that the nerds and geeks proudly retreated to are no longer safe. Comic books, STEM, ROTC, the scouts? All full of people telling them they suck even more than the jocks and the “hot girls”.
So now this new crop of young dudes are now plugged into corners on the internet that are telling them to “get even and get fame” because where else do they now have?
And now we have a bunch of dead people.
Wasn’t the first time this happen. Wont be the last.
