Microsoft founder Bill Gates discussed a meeting with President Trump in a recently unearthed video clip, playing up for the audience his opinions on Trump’s knowledge about medical science, among other things.

In a clip aired by Chris Hayes on his MSNBC show All In, Microsoft founder Bill Gates discussed a meeting he had with President Trump while talking to staff members of his charity organization, the Gates Foundation. Gates stated that he met President Trump both before and after he was elected but began first by discussing a meeting he had with President Trump before he was elected.

Bill Gates = Thanos; just in real life and without super powers.

Or any form of physical strength, or superhuman intelligence, or a really cool gauntlet.

Gates is so lucky that his mother gave him an inside track to IBM. didn't abort him. Doesn't he and his wife support Planned Parenthood?

MSNBC, Chris Hayes pushing that Trump is crazy (speaks of himself in 3rd person), stupid (doesn’t know the difference between HIV and HPV, can’t embrace science), conspiracy theorist (vaccines) and an oversexed maniac (gates’ daughter).

Who wouldn’t trust Bill Gates...

I hate Bill Gates, trying to control the world by co-opting the educational system of the U.S. and forcing the use of untried sure-to-fail libtard policies. He made money in computers; that does not make him an expert on everything. Ditto that nasty dwarf Bloomberg.

I heard he bought MsDOS for $10,000.

IBM's lawyers told them not to own MSDOS to avoid possible liability issues if it crashes.

Windows is one of the biggest scams ever! They get their paying customers to do their beta testing. It’s brilliant, getting your customers to do your work for you and then the government uses your money to buy their crap!

Actually, Microsoft paid $50,000 for MSDOS. I have never met Bill Gates personally but my wife and I have met some of the other Microsoft Founders, Steve Balmer and Paul Allen in social situations. They are smart guys obviously, but there are many smart people around. Being lucky SOBs does the most to explain their great wealth. The true innovators have typically not been the ones who become incredibly wealthy in our society.

"God, I hate all tech companies at this point."

That might be a little strong, I'll say I not fond of them, Warren Buffett, Jack Welch and so many others. This idolization of these flawed Corp Titans and frankly their monopolistic tenancies and to use Gov't to get rid of competitors is way over the top. Does this fawning say more about us, or the financial media that hypes them constantly. The really good ones are few and far between. We need more Alan Mulally's, he was the real deal.

From Wiki:

IBM awarded a contract to Microsoft in November 1980 to provide a version of the CP/M OS, which was set to be used in the upcoming IBM Personal Computer (IBM PC).[23] For this deal, Microsoft purchased a CP/M clone called 86-DOS from Seattle Computer Products, which it branded as MS-DOS, though IBM rebranded it to PC DOS.

IBM’s lawyers told them not to own MSDOS to avoid possible liability issues if it crashes.

...

I hadn’t heard of that, but it was an incredible break for MS that they retained ownership and that IBM used off the shelf components that allowed the clone market to take off.

The effeminate and nurdy men hate on Trump pretty well.
Throw them in with ideological Left, in the Media Complex and Congress, and you have quite a stew of Pro-Corporates and rowdies, who actually fear patriotism.

Hope all of this exposure of the near-takeover of our once great nation can end in clean court houses, rather than a civil war between the states.

I like to read biographies and almost everyone who’s exceptionally famous or wealthy had the good fortune of being in the right place at the right time with the right idea. And it’s also true that most of them are very intelligent and/or hard workers.

He bought DOS for less and had Allen edit the code to run IBM PCs. They called the new DOS ‘MS-DOS’.

He and Allen used it to get an IBM contract to maintain and administer an operating system for IBM PCs. His mother introduced him, opened the door for him to meet with IBM executives to get the contract.

He and Allen actually did a good amount of work, especially Allen.

But Gates was always sneaky and untrustworthy. One had to be back in that day as all the geek punks including Jobs would steal you blind when you weren’t looking.

The problem is that all the unethical tech punks like Zuckerpunk had Wall St. wrap their paper around them to make them ‘billionaires’ without ever earning it. Then, they were controlled politically.

They are not honest, never were, never will be.

If we want honest, reasonably honest, we have to look back at the likes of Whitney, Carnegie, Edison, Tesla, Shockley, etc. and especially a whole lot of tough, independent Texans (kid you not). They spent lifetimes amassing their wealth. The punks today get wrapped up by Wall St. in less than 10 years.

Wall St. eventually goes stupid. Like Hollywood producing nauseating sequels to an original blockbuster, Wall St. finds a success story and replicates it until the public sees the bullcrap ingredients inside. That’s what we see today with the tech punks.

“Coming from the guy who’s software was so bad, drove 30% of his market share to Apple.”

Yeah, I “saw the light” back when Apple had only the Plus with the 9” screen and a floppy port. I worked for a startup company that ended up with more than 1,000 employees, all on Macs with an IT department that was about four guys. In 9 years, I had one HD failure that took minutes to change with no loss of data. Then I moved to a “well known company” that’s across the street from HP HQ in Palo Alto that was PC based. Nothing worked! The IT dept. ran around with their hair on fire trying to make a bastard network of every variety of PC ever produced run without crashing. And back then, PC’s were still non-GUI when Macs had been GUI for years (Windows 95, like Apple 1987). People who like PCs are similar to those who like British cars. They have to have at least two of them so there’s the possibilty that one will work at a given point in time, plus they can spend their weekends fixing the one that’s broken down.

I agree with your assessment completely. They also tend to recognize the potential of other people's ideas, the potential of their associates and they understand and know how to delegate. So it is an oversimplification to say that they are just lucky SOBs. The problem is that many start to believe that the gifts that they do possess and their success give them special insight into areas outside of their area of expertise. In some cases they are correct, but in other cases they can be way off the mark.

Bill Gates is from a sheltered liberal society in an affluent area. He has no personal knowledge of true hardship. Like many of us he appears to be a silly overgrown spoiled child in many accounts.
