So we have to believe a 17-year old student has been able to build numerous bombs, acquire several high powered weapons, and pull this off all by himself?

Pretty common, as is a diet of Hollywood desensitization to violence. I don't agree with Dave Grossman on his every last word, but his take on what the videogame industry has done to young brains is essentially correct. I saw it for myself at least 30 years ago. We will never - NEVER - see the Bloomberg/Parkland types go after the videogame and entertainment industries, let alone the pharmaceutical companies for the part they play in some of this.
I used to think that some of the U.S. military-developed desensitization studies were more appropriate for Berlin or Moscow than DC, but lately...
