Birth rates keep falling for U.S. women
Associated Press ^ | May 17, 2018 | MIKE STOBBE

NEW YORK (AP) — U.S. birth rates declined last year for women in their teens, 20s and — surprisingly — their 30s, leading to the fewest babies in 30 years, according to a government report released Thursday.

Experts said several factors may be combining to drive the declines, including shifting attitudes about motherhood and changing immigration patterns.

The provisional report, based on a review of more than 99 percent of the birth certificates filed nationwide, counted 3.853 million births last year. That's the lowest tally since 1987.

Births have been declining since 2014, but 2017 saw the greatest year-to-year drop — about 92,000 less than the previous year.

That was surprising, because baby booms often parallel economic booms, and last year was a period of low unemployment and a growing economy.

But other factors are likely at play, experts said.

One may be shifting attitudes about motherhood among millennials, who are in their prime child-bearing years right now. They may be more inclined to put off child-bearing or have fewer children, researchers said.

Another may be changes in the immigrant population, who generate nearly a quarter of the babies born in the U.S. each year. For example, Asians are making up a larger proportion of immigrants, and they have typically had fewer children than other immigrant groups.

Promotion of homosexuality and "transgenderism" and criticism of "heteronomativity" (what a ridiculous word) does not help.

Part of the blame ought to go to housing costs, including property taxes, that make it cost prohibitive to have kids, or more of them.

Student loans affect some. Housing costs affect more.

This will be the excuse to justify a massive influx of “refugees.”

Margaret Sanger wouldn’t be pleased until ALL babies are killed (for a period of 10 years)

Childbirth ban proposed by Margaret Sanger (CHOICE is not in her vocabulary):

More globalist propaganda to justify illegal/legal immigration. SO PREDICTABLE.

Marxist Feminism’s Ruined Lives
Frontpagemag.com ^ | 9-2-2014 | Mallory Millett

...It was 1969. Kate (Millett) invited me to join her for a gathering at the home of her friend, Lila Karp. They called the assemblage a “consciousness-raising-group,” a typical communist exercise, something practiced in Maoist China. We gathered at a large table as the chairperson opened the meeting with a back-and-forth recitation, like a Litany, a type of prayer done in Catholic Church. But now it was Marxism, the Church of the Left, mimicking religious practice:

“Why are we here today?” she asked.
“To make revolution,” they answered.
“What kind of revolution?” she replied.
“The Cultural Revolution,” they chanted.
“And how do we make Cultural Revolution?” she demanded.
“By destroying the American family!” they answered.
“How do we destroy the family?” she came back.
“By destroying the American Patriarch,” they cried exuberantly.
“And how do we destroy the American Patriarch?” she replied.
“By taking away his power!”
“How do we do that?”
“By destroying monogamy!” they shouted.
“How can we destroy monogamy?”
Their answer left me dumbstruck, breathless, disbelieving my ears. Was I on planet earth? Who were these people?

“By promoting promiscuity, eroticism, prostitution and homosexuality!” they resounded.

They proceeded with a long discussion on how to advance these goals by establishing The National Organization of Women. It was clear they desired nothing less than the utter deconstruction of Western society. The upshot was that the only way to do this was “to invade every American institution. Every one must be permeated with ‘The Revolution’”: The media, the educational system, universities, high schools, K-12, school boards, etc.; then, the judiciary, the legislatures, the executive branches and even the library system.

It fell on my ears as a ludicrous scheme, as if they were a band of highly imaginative children planning a Brinks robbery; a lark trumped up on a snowy night amongst a group of spoiled brats over booze and hashish...

Lagging indicator of Obama’s socialism. Birth rates will go up under Trump. We don’t need Mexicans to replace the shortfall.

I don’t think so.
Most women of child-bearing years who want to have children don’t give a crap about that stuff.

Finances have a much bigger impact on the number of kids couples have.

My husband is the hardest working person I know and his salary at a job he’s had for 20 years isn’t enough to sustain us. We live modestly, pay off everything we can, have a normal home and we can’t make it without me working. We both desperately want me to stay home but it’s completely unrealistic.

Insurance premiums also

Most young American families pay more in health insurance than on vehicles.

Whites need to learn to play the game.

White people need to get rid of the welfare stigma and stop getting legally married. It's a state-ist trap. Couples should have a secret religious wedding then get welfare etc. (subsidies) form uncle sugar like our melanin unchallenged and some white (very few comparatively)citizens do.

Good point. Tax policy should be favoring taxpayers with kids, not freeloaders and geezers.

Choices has well. Most couples need a dual income, however, women who want to stay home can't. The biggest reasons, taxes, inflation, and private sector job dilution that drains, depress, and prevents salaries from keeping up with the taxes and inflation.

Feminism and the "equality" canard is a Catch-22; the victims are kids and women who just want to be homemakers to raise the next generation.
