One good night and they can make back their bail.
Car break-ins are on the rise here outside of Columbia.
One of my higher ups lives a few, hundred yards away on another street. Nice neighborhood with plenty of people and cameras.
Her wheels got ransacked, the mister’s ride was stolen and recovered wrecked a few days later.
Aptly-named judge
.
Judge Nicole Botchway lives up to her name!
That decision to reduce bail was seriously botched.
Lamonte Brown (top left), Jason Holmes (top center), Khatira Hunt-Rogers (top right), Eric Buckner (bottom left) and Phillip Devine are among suspects in a car break-in ring.
Wow. Two guys, three counts of (essentially) vandalism.
100 cars broken into. I’m going to guess $200 per window. That’s $20k of damage so far.
Let’s ignore any guns and drugs that they collected in those cars and focus on stereos and random phones. I’ll lowball that at $200 per car. Another $20k.
Cost to owners? At least 40k. Probably over 100k.
Court? 5k, a free lawyer, and if you go to jail you’ll walk inside of thirty days.
Profit? Looks like 20k to me. Or 80-ish.
Punishment? None. Priceless.
I’m confident that these gentlemen have been inside before and their cost/risk analysis is pretty positive for them.
Crikey! I should have been a super-villain! Nah. I don’t want to be a democrat.

At first the bail didn’t sound that far off until I remembered the huge number of crimes. Obviously a professional criminal operation.
I noticed that Allison Mack was released on $5,000,000.00 bond. That actually sounds too high to me.
In California you can steal anything worth less then $1,000 or so and not end up in court. Plus the democrats released 40,000 and counting crooks out of jail.

Hyphenated names are always a sure sign of mental defectives.
