ST. LOUIS Alderman Jack Coatar says Circuit Attorney Kim Gardners office didnt do its job after a band of car break-in thieves was released on bail.
Police believe six suspects committed more than 100 car break-ins mostly in downtown neighborhoods since at least 2014. Initially, their bail was set at $150,000.
But Judge Nicole Colbert-Botchway reduced bail for three of them to $50,000 on April 27. They were allowed to post 10 percent of it, which they did, and were released. Two of those suspects, Lamonte Brown, 34, and Jason Holmes, 38, were charged with three counts each of property crime and stealing.

It’s getting crazier in America...carjackings, etc.
I applaud you and your landcruiser. Maybe once I rode in one.
My old jeeps are slowly being re-habbed. Every now and then I make some progress. The K5 is a piece at a time thing too.
Plus I pay cash/debit/paypal for parts and tools. No debt again ever so that means stay in a budget.
To be left the hell alone on a weekend and on holidays to accomplish stuff is something I really look forward to. It almost never happens.
I think I will be forgotten about some this weekend. Belts for the Blazer and drop in the radiator I bought last week and see how many leaks I have in the cooling system.
None of mine will ever be frame ups as much as I would like it. I’d need the powerball to pay for everything.
“Colbert-Botchway”
Hyphenated names are always a sure sign of mental defectives.
People simply don’t care for the most part any more.
I have never been happier the last few months when I had uninterrupted working on landcruiser hours. It was hard in the winter as I did everything under the car port outside in snow, rain and sunset at 4. I have done so much research about a stunning number of subjects. i have finally after a year and a half of not trusting my 25 year companion of insane desert trips, tested and approved its function and almost fully trust it for solo long distance away from all humans for multiple days away from humans again. The engine runs bettet than it ever has, better than when it was new in 1995, even after years of abuse. I do two trips a year though not in the last two..i drive from the utah/nevada border to the california border without touching pavement other than to cross the 4 north south roads in northern nevada. No maps, no GPS, just minining and old basque sheep trails across the mountains. The other trip is to every unique nevada bar such as middlegate, gabbs, rachel, manhattan, belmont, jarbidge, jack creek, taylor creek, midas, paradise, and gerlach, preferably without pavement and camping on the ridges above the bars
We’re slowly becoming Africa.
That is the purpose for townhomes and condos. They take the brunt of crime. While other cars are safely locked away inside garages.
By another name, it’s black privilege. It’s whitey’s law they broke.
To get free, find a lawyer friends of the judge.
All of that sounds like a dose of nirvana that I’d try to emulate.
As much as the jeeps and blazer are in pieces, I get a lot of enjoyment when I make some progress.
I’m getting all of the parts for the CJ7 fuel tank here and there.
