I have never been happier the last few months when I had uninterrupted working on landcruiser hours. It was hard in the winter as I did everything under the car port outside in snow, rain and sunset at 4. I have done so much research about a stunning number of subjects. i have finally after a year and a half of not trusting my 25 year companion of insane desert trips, tested and approved its function and almost fully trust it for solo long distance away from all humans for multiple days away from humans again. The engine runs bettet than it ever has, better than when it was new in 1995, even after years of abuse. I do two trips a year though not in the last two..i drive from the utah/nevada border to the california border without touching pavement other than to cross the 4 north south roads in northern nevada. No maps, no GPS, just minining and old basque sheep trails across the mountains. The other trip is to every unique nevada bar such as middlegate, gabbs, rachel, manhattan, belmont, jarbidge, jack creek, taylor creek, midas, paradise, and gerlach, preferably without pavement and camping on the ridges above the bars
All of that sounds like a dose of nirvana that I’d try to emulate.
As much as the jeeps and blazer are in pieces, I get a lot of enjoyment when I make some progress.
I’m getting all of the parts for the CJ7 fuel tank here and there.
