They do have a bowling alley in Shemya, good fishing and its daylight when the bar closes.

The Corps of Engineers site engineer claimed to have identified 48 or so to the 54 wildflowers native to Shemya in the mid 70s. I was there for a few weeks in April. Didn’t identify any wildflowers.

Shemya’s not bad. I was told by the first sergeant there’s a woman behind every tree.
