The steering geometry may look cool but handles like a wheelbarrow.
And the new M8 engine everyone was raving about is a dog. Standard oil usage is 1 quart per 1000 miles.
I could see paying $27K for a bike. But that bike had better be a competent motorcycle. But Harley just keeps putting different paint on the same bikes with worn out technology and charging more. No thanks.
Yeah, I have the dubious pleasure of living near an intersection on a major road favored by touring cruisers (read Harleys) in the summer. Forget opening the windows for some fresh air if you want to be able to hear the TV or radio.
In Canada, a Road King goes for CDN$23,000, and a Street Glide for $26,199.
For that kind of money I could buy a BMW K1600 GT or GTL, respectively, or a new Gold Wing. To me those are a lot more bike for the money. Also more money than I’m going to spend for a bike. My last new bike, a leftover 2013 Yamaha Fazer 8, cost me CDN$8,300.
I might actually like a Street Glide or Road Glide for touring, but that’s a bit rich for my blood. That’s the kind of money I spend to buy 2 or 3 year old used cars, which is what I drive. I probably wouldn’t be satisfied with the amount of ground clearance on one of those, anyway.
Harleys have character.
A quart per thousand?? There isn’t gas engine I can think of that consumes any oil these days. Even my BMW 1200 doesn’t lose a drop.
HD is a over-priced status symbol for middle aged guys when their kids move out of the house.
Most other companies are making better bikes for far less money.

Ironically , Harley’s are super over-priced and heavily taxed in Thailand . Only their richest elites , or outlaw musician types drive/drove them . Will that change ? Thai workers have zero concept about what a muscle bike should come out like . What a joke .
Organize a anti-Harley push back
