Thousands have gathered in central Istanbul to protest the United States embassy move from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and recognise the city as Israels capital, and the massacre of Palestinians that followed.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has been among the strongest critics of U.S. President Donald Trump's decision after he announced the embassy move last December.
An Extraordinary Session of the Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC)s Islamic Summit Conference was swiftly brought together under Erdoğans leadership to respond to the announcement, rejecting and condemning in the strongest terms the unilateral decison by the President of the United States of America recognizing Al-Quds(Jerusalem) as the so-called capital of Israel.
On Monday, as U.S. & Israeli officials gathered at the opening ceremony for the new embassy, Israeli soldiers killed at least 52 protesting Palestinians. Meanwhile, protesters gathered in cities around the world at pro-Palestinian marches, demonstrations.
The embassy move was also a main topic in comments by Erdoğan during his visit to the UK, where on Monday he said the decision ruled the United States out as a mediator in the Middle East and contributed to a world atmosphere reminiscent of the years leading up to world war II.
Hours after his speech in the UK, thousands of Turks marched along İstiklal Avenue in central Istanbul, where they took part in a spirited demonstration of their support of the Palestinian cause attended by figures and groups with links to the Turkish government.
The Humanitarian Relief Foundation (İHH), a government-linked Turkish charity organisation that led the Mavi Marmara flotilla of ships attacked by Israeli soldiers while carrying aid to Gaza in 2010, was one of the groups with a strong presence at the march, where they reportedly gathered under the slogan We came with Mavi Marmara, next we will come with our planes.

If you remember the Mavi Marmara flotilla, they were transporting more than food. Weapons and explosives.
This demonstration in Turkey is NOT spontaneous. It is state sponsored.
The reality of who Turkey represents is on full frontal display.
So lets encourage the Kurds now to take their land, and lets see how the backstabbing Turks react.
The BBC is now referring to the Gaza incidents as a ‘massacre of Palestinians by Israelis’.
Gee, Beeb... Biased, much?
Yep. And Erdogan the Islamist had an audience with the Queen today.
Headshake.
Erdogan the Islamist “thinks” he wants to lead the charge of the Muslim world against Israel.
Careful for what you wish for er dog.
I remember him telling Turks out in Europe to have more babies to become a majority, and take over Europe.
this piece of crap should be thrown out of NATO,and given sanctions.
I have never had time for the Turks, hell let Greece deal with them.
.
Turkey is definitely getting primed for their attack on Israel.
.
.
Greece can’t even deal with their own traffic lights.
.
I’m headed to Istanbul later this month. I’d better not wear a MAGA hat!

Erdogan says Turkey has recalled ambassadors in Washington & Tel Aviv for consultations in protest of the US Jerusalem move.
Agree, they might put you in jail.
If it is a pleasure trip, you might reconsider.
The response to that will not be like attacking unarmed civilians with jet and helicopters.
He is not noted for smart. Only for arrogant, insulting and brutal.
He believes he cannot be touched.
He is wrong.
true they;re broke through their socialist ways..
Sure seems like biblical events are under way. The sides are lining up.
How is this any of Turkey’s business? The Ottoman Empire lost control when it got its ass kicked in 1918.
And U.S. and Israeli-made anti-aircraft guns will have some fun target practice that day. Can I help?
Great idea! How about Trump starts a #KurdsRightofReturn hashtag campaign?
Drum Turkey out of NATO.
Why is Turkey still in NATO. Time to take steps to expel them Mr. President. You have the power to do it... perhaps its already on your long list. :-)
