I do not really think that most militant Feminists hate men as much as they hate the feminine woman. Their criteria for goals suggests that they have little real respect for the social qualities, where normal women clearly have the edge.

Another example of the point is the way such Feminists actually resent being treated with the courtesies that normal Western women have come to expect.

The newest Star Wars movie (Last Jedi) was created by feminist women and hyped to introduce strong women characters to young girls and wipe away the patriarchal nature of the other movies. However, to your point, the main female character is a pretty actress but she is dressed in a burlap sack and has her hair slicked back so she looks like a 14-year-old boy. Laura Dern is also a pretty actress, but she has purple hair and a weird scarf so she looks pretty hideous. All the other women are similarly ugli-fied. To my mind, that is how feminists see themselves: not as pretty, feminine women, but as male look-alikes, only better at everything.

As an aside, the men in that movie are bumbling idiots or racists, as you'd expect from a modern feminist.
