The old woman walked outside in her bathrobe and curlers to shout at the man who might be president.
“Senator Booker!” she called out to him.
Cory Booker spun around and saw the woman standing on the stoop of her apartment building.
“Oh my gosh!” he said. “How are you? I haven’t seen you in the longest time!”
The woman was incredulous.
“What are you doing over here?” she exclaimed.
“Just walking around the neighborhood,” said Booker. “I love that robe. Look at that.”
Her name is Stephanie. They apparently have known each other for a while. With a warm smile, she explained why she rushed out in her early morning finery.
“I just looked out the window and I said, ‘That’s Senator Booker!’”
“You know, I still live right off Martin Luther King [Boulevard],” Booker told Stephanie.
“Somebody told me that and I said, ‘He don’t live down here,’” Stephanie said.
“I love our park,” Stephanie said.
“Yes. Isn’t it nice?” Booker replied.
“I know,” she said before offering him advice for his return to Washington. “Keep on fighting Trump.”
“Amen,” said Booker with a laugh.
And it’s not just in Newark. On Capitol Hill and around the country, Booker is regularly urged to mount a White House bid. It happens so often that he’s got something of a standard response.
“Thank you for that encouragement!”
“If you don’t know the man, you can’t judge him,” said Ruby Quocko, a Newark woman in her 70s.
“When my mother became ill, Cory was there to visit her.”
Quocko said he walked around the hospital and visited other patients. “He stopped into their rooms and asked them how they felt,” she said. “He didn’t care who it was.”

Replace the Black ‘candidate’ with a straight, White, male, Conservative candidate and this woman would be ‘known’ to all down to what kind of milk she drinks with her morning cereal and ‘they’ would trace her back to a ‘hack’ in the candidates office that he just ‘happened to run into’.
Of course, bring this up in ‘mixed’ company and one is automatically declared Sexist/Racist/Anti Immigrant/Anti Human/ or any other ‘tag’ we may rack up.
Someone is praised for carrying around a picture of PDT’s severed head and we are told she is just trying to make a living and WE should lighten up and not be quick to judge.
A Presidential aide can say that ‘WE’ will not comment or belittle a ‘dying mans’ rantings, ‘WE’ will just ignore him and wish him well and they are engaging in ‘hate politics’.
I admit the one who uttered the words ‘he is dying’ should have used a few more clarifying words BUT anyone with a lick of common sense should be able to recognize that ESPECIALLY when - since it was a SECRET meeting - we do not know exactly where those words were placed etc.
At least many who fall for the ‘original’ complaint will recognize their ‘mistake’ when it is pointed out to them.

Cory Booker like Menendez or governor murphy and every other politician from the state of New Jersey is 100% bonafide certifiable scum-of-the-earth.
I’ve felt all along that Cory Booker will be the Democrat nominee in 2020. They would love to have Barack Hussein Obama run again, but since he can’t, they see Booker as the next closest thing.
