It’s a complex story of sin in the Holocaust. Prior to WWII, Germany was debauched and Jews (and Christians) were by and large okay with it. This pulled down the mischief of Satan. I’ve grown to respect and fear God knowing that if one is too self confident, the devil may be allowed to bust one’s bubble.
Nazi Germany was an example of spiritual vacuum filling with evil. Could small rebel bands prevail and escape? If they were willing to fear God, yes. The danger of not doing so being scenes of mutual selling out in the event of trouble. One such event was depicted in a TV movie about the Holocaust years ago.
