White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders responded Friday to a barrage of questions regarding Special Assistant to the President Kelly Sadler joking about Sen. John McCain’s death in an internal meeting which was leaked to the press.
A reporter asked Sanders if Sadler still had a job.
“I’m not going to comment on an internal staff meeting,” she replied.
Another reporter pressed Sanders on the remarks and whether the White House planned to address them.
“I’m not going to validate a leak out of an internal staff meeting one way or the other,” Sanders said.
She did later confirm Sadler still had a job but emphasized “I’m not going to get into a back and forth because people want to create issues of a leaked staff meeting.”
Another reporter asked Sanders if there is “a tone set from the top here where it is allowed for an aide to say he (McCain) is dying anyway?”
“Certainly there is not a tone set here,” she replied. “We have a respect for all Americans and that is what we try to put forward in everything we do.”
Meghan McCain brought up the comments on “The View” earlier Friday, saying she didn't know how a White House employee can make such remarks and keep their job.

I am still trying to figure out how a comment made at an Internal Staff Meeting at the White House gets leaked to the Press. The White House Chief of Staff needs to launch an Internal Investigation and get rid of these Leakers.
Sarah is a very classy act.
McCain is not. He has a mole on the White House staff.
The Gang of 14,The Keating 5, the continuous ruination of conservative policy legislation in the Senate etc...
The final straw for me was McCain’s vote against the repeal of Obama care, cast out of spite, not because he cared anything about the bogus replacement bill drafted by Ryan and his cronies..
Then there was the boondoggle million dollar arms fiasco through Obama in Syria where a cadre of men of this bogus Syrian “resistance” made themselves rich selling the McCain armaments on the black market to ISIS.
The list goes on and on.
McCain’s disrespectful comments from his bitter death bed about Sarah Palin assure McCain will go down in history as a POS with a POS legacy......a loser.
And no one did it to him, not Donald Trump for sure.

I seem to recall that in 2008, many of those making comments about McCain brought up the fact that he had had cancer. Many of those same commenters were hoping for McCain to die. Many of those making the comments were in the huge army of online trolls employed by 0bama. What I don’t recall is any democrat denouncing such comments.

This story is so lame. An apology was given personally by the person who made the private comment that someone ran to the AP with. The backstabbing in the Trump White House did not end when they got rid of Bannon.
Yes, my first thought too. The leaking continues. Prosecutions should be in order. I would suspect classified information is probably discussed at staff meetings.

The Chief of Staff should call them all together and announce the leaker is going to be fired. Then start firing them one at a time until someone admits to being the leader or someone snitches. If he has to fire them all, so be it.

First off, it’s not even a nasty comment. It is the truth. He is dying. No judgement there, he IS dying. That being said, I sure hope whoever is the mole is outed and fired. NO MORE LEAKING OF ANY KIND. Enough of this sabotage!
