Republican James Bradley Ties for Second Place in California US Senate Race Poll
The Epoch Times | 5-8-2018 | Epoch Times

A recent poll by the University of California Berkeley’s Institute of Governmental Studies (IGS) has shown that Republican James Bradley, an outsider to the political world, is almost tied with Democrat State Sen. Kevin de Leon in the race for the U.S. Senate in California in the 2018 midterm election.

Compared to two years ago, more Americans today may believe that electing a political outsider to a public office is not a bad idea. The job approval rating for President Donald Trump, who had never been part of any political establishment before he was elected, recently hit 51 percent, according to the Rasmussen poll.

While the incumbent Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D) has the lead in the Berkeley IGS poll, Bradley and de Leon are racing for the 2nd spot in the November runoff.

The poll surprised many people, because Bradley, a Republican candidate who hadn’t been heard of by most Californians in the most liberal state in the country, was just one point behind de Leon, who is the State Senate president pro tem.

Cali currently has an all-party primary, the top two candidates face each other in November.

Bradley is a solid Trump Republican. He can't possibly win but it would be nice if he makes the election against Feinstien rather than De Leon, who is running to her left (yes, she's too right wing for many Cali rats)

It’s a long shot but if Trump continues to grow in popularity and the dems are eating each other come November ......?

this Brady fellow will have to achieve at least a LITTLE name recognition.. right now NOBODY has ever heard of him...

where’s all the conservative money, anyway>? Even Californication WILL VOTE for OTHER than their existing communist ruling clique.................really .... if given half a chance, that is

totally unknown candidates .. or self-disgraced RINOs.. are no longer welcome almost anywhere.....people just don’t want to bother voting for the McShames or Lindsays or other RINO sellouts, or nut jobs. and for all practical purposes the R party in Californcation is known as a weekend golf and country club foursome.........which almost never even tries to win any public offices... and which almost always runs essentially RINO sellout candidates anyway. What a shame, CA is a one party dictatorship... partially, anyway, because there’s no serious second party challenging it

Kevin De Leon, is really just plain old Kevin Leon. I guess he thinks adding the “de” gives him “gravitas,” but most Mexicans don’t have any hope of gravitas so it’s a waste of his time to have changed his name.

That’s hilarious, what a clown. His expiation of some bs to do with his deadbeat dad (Chinese Guatemalan, I didn’t know that was a thing) doesn’t make sense to me.

It’s not nearly as bad as Tony Villar adding his now ex-wife’s last name to his own and keeping it that way after they split, dude should be made to give up a testicle for that nonsense.

Republican and conservative candidates got screwed in California in 2012 when the state went from closed primaries to open primaries, and only the top 2 vote winners went on to the General election.
The Dems would target a moderately conservative district, and under the table push 6 or 8 so called Republican candidates to split all the conservative votes.
The Dem running in that district would get all the Dem votes, and a lot of votes from the weirdo parties that didn’t even have one of their candidates on the ballot.
So you wind up with a weak Repub candidate (you know, all those rubberheads who aren’t going to vote for him because he ain’t my guy) running against a strong Demo candidate.
Works really well, I haven’t seen a Repulican candidate make the General in my district in 10 years.

“Bradley is a solid Trump Republican. He can’t possibly win but it would be nice if he makes the election against Feinstien rather than De Leon, who is running to her left (yes, she’s too right wing for many Cali rats) “

Anything is possible in November, although, yes, 100% chance that Wifi wins, assuming nothing big happens regarding her before then.

HOWEVER, the reason she’s being challenged from the left is that they don’t fully trust her anymore. She has said and done a few things recently somewhat off the reservation. If she wins in November, for another 6 years, likely her last - she will have complete freedom to make life quite difficult for the left, if she so chooses.

And very often in Californication the D party machine provides you with the “choice” of left wing D number one aaaaand left wing D number 2. Just like in so many communistic countries. They often don’t care much which wins since they’re both their candidates anyway. The R party is nigh unto invisible in Californication , having destroyed itself with two largely RINO type governors ( one of which at least was visibly corrupt). Where’are the attractive conservative candidates!l? Where’s the campaign fund?

The only way to run against Feinstein is to tell the truth.

She is non compos mentis.

See, if you say it in Latin you can’t offend anyone!

Is Bradley’s slogan: ‘Make California Great Again’?

Ok. I’m game. Bradley for senate. Allen for governor. Frankly I hadn’t bothered to look at the very long list of candidates on the same ballot. The party needs to figure a way to beat the jungle primary and actually get a Republican on the general election ballot. Perhaps selecting the candidate at a convention. Otherwise we’re just getting our brains beaten in every time and don’t even make it to the general election
