The Department of Justice lost its latest battle... when it allowed House Intelligence Committee members to view classified documents about a top-secret intelligence source that was part of the FBIs investigation of the Trump campaign. Even without official confirmation of that sources name, the news so far holds some stunning implications...
Among them is that the Justice Department and Federal Bureau of Investigation outright hid critical information from a congressional investigation...
The bureau already has some explaining to do. Thanks to the... leakers, we know Mr. Nuness request deals with a top secret intelligence source... who is a U.S. citizen and who was involved in the Russia collusion probe... we might take this to mean that the FBI secretly had a person... to interact in some capacity with the Trump campaign.
This would amount to spying, and it is hugely disconcerting. It would also be a major escalation from the electronic surveillance we already knew about... Obama political appointees rampantly unmasked Trump campaign officials... Now we find it may have also been rolling out human intelligence, John Le Carré style, to infiltrate the Trump campaign...
When? The bureau has been doggedly sticking with its story that a tip in July 2016 about the drunken ramblings of George Papadopoulos launched its counterintelligence probe... When precisely was the Steele dossier delivered to the FBI? When precisely did the Papadopoulos information come in?
And to the point, when precisely was this human source operating? Because if it was prior to that infamous Papadopoulos tip, then the FBI isnt being straight. It would mean the bureau was spying on the Trump campaign prior to that moment. And that in turn would mean that the FBI had been spurred to act on the basis of something other than a junior campaign aides loose lips...

Given the fact that the DOJ/FBI refuse to identify the individual, it is likely that person is working in the administration this very moment.
Brennan in Moscow in March 2016! It just keeps getting more and more complicated and nefarious.
Carter Page has already been identified as an FBI asset who was worked to build cases against Russians in the past. He's already been "outed," in other words.
Another thing against it being Page, Kimberly refers to him in the usual manner in the article:
“the FBI played dirty with its surveillance warrant against Carter Page, failing to tell the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court that its supporting information came from the Hillary Clinton campaign.”
If she thought Page was in on it, would she use the usual victim characterization?
Your reasoning is sound and logical. People try to make things more complicated than necessary IMO!
Page served his purpose, to get the FISA warrsnt.
Tillerson's dismissal kinda bugged me a bit until Pompeo was tapped then Bolton was brought in.
What PDJT has assembled between CIA/Secretary of State, etc.. honestly is my dream team at that level. The strength and confidence of this team is something we haven't seen since Ronald Reagan, IMO. I think the world is on notice that this President means business and is the polar opposite of the POS that infested the White House for eight long years.
My own impression here is that by sheer will, this President is bending the world back to what it should be: an orderly, confidently led world with the most powerful country in the world on top.
Strong Presidents are a GOOD thing despite what Progressives/Liberals/RINO's think.
Tossing a name out and wondering whwre it fits in thr timeline...Corey Lewandowski.
Where does that name fit in the timeline....does his firing as campaign manager fit in at all with when the fisa warrant application was made?
That treasonous, traitorous, scumbag Brennan is in this up to his neck.
He thinks he is clever and knows all the angles, but he is just a dumb leftist cluck, and is getting ensnared in his own web.
Mark my words. When this is said and done, Brennan is going to be one of the prime coup conspirators. But I don’t think he is going to be the biggest one.
LOL. His last great mission before he went off to retirement.
Yes-I just researched this and found out. Many sites are saying he is a Brit and I did not check it out. My bad.
Stefan Halper checks off every single box: √Currently overseas. √Current/Former CIA operative. √Current/Former source for FBI. √Anti-Trump motive. √Formerly put together this exact type of operation. √Connections to UK spies/intel community/politicians. √Connection to Australian spies/intel community. √Connection to Alexander Downer. √Political operative. √Wanted Clinton to win 2016 election. √Connects to Carter Page. √Connects to George Papadopoulos. √Connects to John Brennan. ETC.
Eventually we will find out that Obama started leveraging national security functions for political espionage on the day he assumed office.
Read the link at my post #109. Great and detailed article by SD.
It’s Carter Page. He was the subject of the FISA Warrant. He was a paid FBI informant/asset in a previous FBI investigation into a Russian oil company. He was planted into the campaign and then because he had so many Russian contacts (compliments of his work for the FBI) he suddenly became a security risk and had to be surveilled...and then everyone he spoke to, emailed or interacted with also conveniently became targets.

The meeting request, which has not been reported until now, came from Stefan Halper, a foreign policy expert and Cambridge professor with connections to the CIA and its British counterpart, MI6.
Halpers September 2016 outreach to Papadopoulos wasnt his only contact with Trump campaign members. The 73-year-old professor, a veteran of three Republican administrations, met with two other campaign advisers, The Daily Caller News Foundation learned.
Papadopoulos now questions Halpers motivation for contacting him, according to a source familiar with Papadopouloss thinking. Thats not just because of the randomness of the initial inquiry but because of questions Halper is said to have asked during their face-to-face meetings in London.
