Don’t know what state you live in. Here in the north woods we have a fire dept and that’s where the emts are always on duty just like the rest of the crew. No assemblage required
in our woods, there is usually a chief (paid) and a live in (intern) available all day, and a live in at night. The rest of the crew assembles out of the volunteers.
